Fire Emblem Awakening seems super fun. I've only played the demo,but from what I've seen its awesome.

@nindow: Well she is an Oifey in radiant dawn, and some people say she is in path of radiance as well, but I've found that her stats usually turn out terrible for me. Also, an Oifey is like a Jeigan but doesn't end up bad, usually mediocre. Path of radiance's storyline is my personal favorite in the series. Its not complicated, and it gets what it wants to say across very well.

@xipwnux99 titania is a jeigan in "path of radiance? all this time, i thought she was the opposite of a jeigan, oifey (was that the correct term?) cause i found her reliable in radiant dawn. regarding path of radiance, does it mean that its storyline was very good?

@nindow: Path of Radiance's difficulty is less cheap later in the game when compared to Radiant Dawn, also the characters from PoR that reappeared in RD are different then they are in RD. Some of them, like Sothe, Haar, Brom, and Nephenee suck in PoR. The beginning is kind of hard sometimes, at least for me anyways, since I try to avoid using Titania the "Jeigan" (A Jeigan is a fan-made term to describe a character who is great in the beginning and is easily outclasses late-game.) of the game. Many of the characters are very good if you train them, you just need to get past the initial frailty, especially the mages, once you start to level up your units you'll start to see the good and bad of them.

@Hatchet even though they'll be difficult to find , they're worth getting.
@xipwnux99 @Dorks hows "path of radiance" like? i've never played it cause i cant find it in any store or swapmeet that i go to. also, i find "radiant dawn" somewhat easy because i only have to focus on a few characters, which makes it easier on what to focus regarding weapons and such. hard mode is still a pain though.

@xipwnux99: agreed with Path of Radiance, I loved it so much. Radiant Dawn would have been my favorite if they didn't make so many characters unusable by the end.

If you can get your hands on it "Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance" is the best FE game to date. It came out on the GameCube in 2005. As stated in the other post you also have to play the original Fire Emblem on the GBA, you may need to search for "Fire Emblem 7" or "Fire Emblem Rekka no Ken" to find it though. Radiant Dawn is frustrating as all hell. Sacred Stones is pretty easy, play that last. Avoid the games for the original NDS (Shadow Dragon and Heroes of Light and Shadow)

Like everyone said the story is very touching in the end

I ended up playing through a few times. Lunatic + is a blast with dlc... Very Very [b]Very[/b] challenging.
Just remember, marrying chrom will end you up with the fgt boy morgan, and one less Ather character...
Imo ather most OP attack in the game o.o besides the Vengence+Vantage+Mircle combo...

Also mad about how you cant just marry everyone ... Or chrom and cordelia.. Or choose between male or female child... Or how theres not nearly enough hairs and faces for either Robin >.<

Fire Emblem Awakening makes references to the prequel Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, which takes around 1000 years in the past.

The reason why it's so good is because of the great story and so many characters that are able to give something to the story.

The most difficult part of an FE game is the first 5-10 chapters, how your experience gets distributed that early in can decide the usefulness of the units obtained early in.

FE:A best DS game ever. Yes, it's the same story again but try it with way different characters next time. LIke the first time, I just used all swordsmen and mages. The second time, I used assasins, dragons, and tanks. They make different babies.

Ooh. Yeah, Fire Emblem games don't disappoint! Haven't touched it after beating the story-play because I can never bring myself to play through another story again, regardless of the increased difficulty or what have you. o.o
