Could this help the game?

Could [url=http://maplestory.nexon.net/community#%2Fshowthread.php%3F1317750-MapleStory-Project-Reborn%26nxid%3D6]this[/url] help the game?
Some aspects of it are a little outdated, but it's an interesting concept. Reusing those event maps would be pretty cool.
It would make me play more often for sure.

Wow, that whole post was beautiful. Nexon really needs to do this as soon as possible. Old maps need to replace the new maps and the new maps should be made hidden streets.

Maybe in the days when you could glitch it and get 10x more exp than you were supposed to. But from around 2007 onwards nobody did orbis pq.

Meh, main reason I voted yes was due to the megaphone limitation part.

However, getting free mounts and maple points from the PQs is a bit overpowered.

Not really. Yes, most of the content is now pretty easy for most players due to the drop in prices for high-end equips and the addition of other new high-end equips. But trying to reach the complete end-game (50m lines of damage) is incredibly hard if you aren't willing to pour thousands into the game. And although it's now generally easy to get cubes (I get about 2 a day on average from boss drops) it still takes a long time to cube and scroll all of a players equipment to be able to reach the real end-game.

You're kidding yourself if you think people did PQs because were "interesting in concept." People did them because exp was better (or at least perceived to be) than grinding. You mention Orbis PQ. Tell me how popular that PQ was. (It wasn't.)

too many to describe but I will say that PQ revamps won't be effective because of the large damage gap (an issue). the team effort will be one sided because the funded guy will just solo the PQ. no team effort and no challenge = no fun

The party quests could work if they capped the damage on PQ monsters in the same way it's capped for monsters like Ikura

Nope. This would make the game way to easy and basically turn it into a youknowwhat server (god this word needs to be unbanned -_-). And IMO the real problem for the future of this game is that KMS doesn't seem to be rolling out any good new updates lately so if that isn't changed the only way GMS could survive is if it started creating it's own content. (Which I doubt would happen)

the problem about old maple that caused nexon to change was that it was considered "too difficult" or "too hard for beginners" or "too slow"

with this system implemented, we're going to complain its "too easy". Sure we get to party quest like old times, but when the boss appears and you just poke it with a level 10 sword and it shows 20m worth of damage.
If we nerf the players, we're gonna quit. If we buff the mobs, we're gonna quit.

Online Store Permits sounds nice though <3
