Highschool Relationships

What do you guys think about them?
I know that you might want the "experience" before going into college but do you guys think it's really necessary?
I mean.. the chances of seeing anyone from your high school after getting into college is less than 5% and long-distance relationships usually never work.

No idea, haven't been in a relationship. But I've seen people date in high school, and actually, a lot of people started getting together near the end of the last year. If they're happy in one, then good for them. c:

If you don't have abusive relationships or something like that, then it's probably good to experience dating.
And long distance relationships HAVE worked, plus most people go to their state colleges so they could just both go in-state, maybe even to the same college.

If you date someone you are actually have a good connection with, I don't see the problem with dating in high school. It's a good way to grow and mature and find out what you want and like from people. I think people who think they shouldn't date in high school at all are more of a problem. They tend to think they'll magically mature into some relationship genius and not date in high school, college and start dating when they are working? like what? Relationships are difficult no matter how old and "mature" you get.
So do both the guys and girls go into the relationship thinking, "Okay this is only going to be a temporary thing"
I wouldn't say someone would literally think that but if anything, just being spontaneous with the now and worrying about the reality aspect then.

Ideally you shouldn't just be in a relationship because you feel like you are missing some experience. You'll know when you meet that special someone and sometimes at the time being its ok to act on your urge by just going with it.
Sadly enough, I'm going into my 3rd year of HS and I feel like I've been asexual ever since.. I just don't find anyone mature for my liking.
Am I too picky or am I just the immature one?
Too picky. Enjoy it while you can hs is the best time to have fun. You have no worries or concern of debt. You are a minor. Seriously it is the best time to be hooking up/dating like crazy. You have the rest of your life to be an adult and mature. Hell you can even go to college the rest of your life if you want too. You can never however go back to high school.

Most are temporary and (mostly) meaningless. It may be a good experience to have so go for it, I guess. The problem with these relationships is that, in most cases, one or both parties are not mature enough for a real and serious relationship, but hey in the end it's your call if you try to get into one or not.

I mean, just because they won't last doesn't mean they aren't worth it.
