So how do You feel about the Nebulite System?
At first I was really excited, and because I didn't really do my research, I opened all the boxes eagerly and put the rock things into a lot of my 'bleh' equips.
When I figured out it's another cube-like system and there really isn't a way to get a good "potential" without NX, or doing that quest in NLC, I didn't want to play the game anymore. Sure it's better than nothing, but it was pretty disheartening. I don't think I will be buying these alien cubes; kind of like how I don't really cube, use protection scrolls, hammers and anything else involving NX to enhance my equips. This is just one more thing to add onto that list.
But what do you guys think?

they should make it ridiculously easy to get nice stats , like mining and crafting is easy now
regular cube already created a huge gap between the rich and the poor
I don't see how adding this system with more cubes will affect the community anymore than what miracle cubes have
besides, the fact that you get to rent skills at a lower level without the need of SoK/PSok and hb pants being unisex just benefits more people
The nebulite system makes the strong and rich, again, way stronger.
The poor and weak will get a very small bit better.
And ones in the middle will relativily stay in the middle.
The gap between weak and strong will ones again be tested and streched up.
aha en aan welke kant hang jij xD?
this is true , though with all these crates atm the "poor" can also upgrade themselfs a bit
These new Nebs are confusing to me. How is there more of a chance at HB? I just want clarification because I don't understand how this works.
And is NLC going to stay like the permanently? because it's going to take at least a month and a half to do the PQ 300 times ( I did some sort of math)
OT: I..will never cube again. I remember spending 20 bucks one summer on cubes and ended up with the most ridiculous stats ever. 9% INT in a Thief over all? How is that even possible...Why is that stat even...ugh. I can imagine these Alien cubes will be just as bad. I would love to Increase my range with out having to buy NX to, SOK an item to sell, Cube, Protection scroll, Hammer, Pams Song for the failed scrolls and then maybe a lock to avoid it being stolen by some random hacker.
I agree with you Jovi, Cubes are incredibly addictive and now days on Maplestory there are several TYPES of cubes to invest in and it's get a little ridiculous
Total disgust </3
The only good thing about this is the cheap rent skills, but its only a matter of time before the nebulites are abused by the dupers.
That's wrong... the 3 line argument would only b true If u attempt 1 good line on a single item. Seeing as we constantly try for items with 2-3 good lines and getting 2/3 is alot harder then getting 1/1 then it's actually not all bad. Also since cubing the nebulas isn't on a specific item makes it slot easier to trade ur unwanted potential and getting better stats for a cheaper price.
To top all that unfunded players who don't buy Nx can buy decent potentialed ones to cheaply enhance their gear w.o spending Nx.
The vast majority of players are not looking for 27% stat when they cube their equipment. For those players who do, I'll accept your argument. For those that don't, I'll stick with mine.
As I said, Nexon can keep their Nebulites. IMHO it's a major ripoff that will only appeal to hackers and well funded damage hoes.
If it means they'd bring back the old Masteria, then yes, take out this pointless new system. Whatever it takes to bring that back... I mean, even in their own announcement posts they say they're adding a new upgrade system on top of enhancement, potential, and scrolling. We already have too many over-powered money-based upgrade systems.

Ealier SE, no need for psok, etc etc.
OT:It's fine~
Richer get Richer
Poorer get Poorer
I like the idea that you can get decent skills on low level items. It would be much more convenient for female archers and what not to get skills like decent hb and stuff. Also when s rank nebulites come out, it also means decent skills like adv bless and speed infusion wont require PSoK to rent.
Yes i agree, the fact of the decent skills on lower lv items is awesome, but the other potentials really suck hard. I think the best one is 25% boss dmg or something
The nebulites should give different effects rather than stat/skill buffs.
e.g. sword explodes, attacks faster, thrusts your character forward, etc.
It'd be more interesting.
Much like every other addition Nexon's added to this game, I'm pretty much okay with it.
Probably won't affect me much to begin with.
I really don't care. I never use any NX crap except for a shop. I never compare my damage to other people, I just play. I like the potential system, and Nebulites aren't bad. I'm just going to take them for what they are and not waste NX on them, just like I've always done.
I don't mind getting a free DEX boost from all the combined nebulites, nor did I mind buying a 1% total damage c-rank for my weapon. But I'm not spending another dime on NX cards until they FIX MY 6 MISSING SP! And as for the 300 boss kills, Nexon has no clue how to do an event right and I refuse to spend the next 2 months glued to NLC when there are better training spots.
Atleast we can buy higher rank nebuites from others but most likely it will cost a couple hundred million mesos
I feel the same as you do. I would have liked it if this system didn't rely on NX at all. The rich would still be getting stronger but at least then it would allow everyone else to get stronger too. With effort rather than a paycheck.
The system could be fun. But to make that happen the boxes that drop in-game should have a chance of giving out high grade nebulites too instead of just D's. Remove the Alien cubes altogether, or keep them around just to remove old nebulites from their sockets.
Makes my items better so I'm not complaining. Not like Nexon is forcing you to play the game or much less use Nebulites.
Then don't use them. Like me
It's a waste of money imho. The cubes cost the same as Hidden Potential except they only affect one line instead of two/three with Hidden Potential. So... Nebulites are really three times more expensive that Hidden Potential. Add to that the fact that you can't fuse Nebulites and what you end up with is a very, very expensive system to improve your game play.
I'll pass.
Wait..can someone explain to me what the female decent HB glitch was, how it's fixed, and how exactly you can get it?
It's not really a glitch it's more so an omission.
The problem is that there are no tradeable lvl 70+ female pants for pirates, mages or archers.
So basically the only way for female pirates, mages and archers to get decent HB was to be lucky and have android pants from before the maker skill was removed and be wealthy enough to cube those pants to have decent HB.
Selling female hb/common, combat orders,se ,haste I don't mind.
Wait..can someone explain to me what the female decent HB glitch was, how it's fixed, and how exactly you can get it?
It was a good idea.... well until nexon decided they could make money off it then it went to hell.
What they should have done was left it purely to chance, letting a box be anything from D to S rank, including the decent skills, and had it a sort of bypass rather then buying countless cubes to try to get that as a potential. Instead it is just a second level of potential, stats copy/pasted from the pot system, and is in general another blatant money grab.
The only positive aspect : Unisex decent HB service is more widely available.

Its just like globalization The rich get richer while the poor gets poorer xD the gap becomes bigger

Its nexon grubbing every last cent they can from children before the game dies for good when Guild Wars 2 gets released.

I was so confused, I used one of the D rank attack ones and tried to reset the nebulite thingies that way :c
I don't think I'll be buying any xD
Is the best nebulite the 1% extra att thing? -.- thats horrible.
Yeah, the fact that the female hb thing is solved is one good thing that came out of this.
Hopefully it'll be revamped later @_@
If the stats of the Nebulites were a little bit higher, maybe it would work.
But I'm not forking over a bunch of NX so i can get more than 1% extra attack.
At least females can get decent hb now
