archer revamp thoughts?

in case you haven't heard.

looks like BMs get the shaft again better than nothing I guess.
and 6 hit pierce? the animation doesn't even make sense anymore...

I hit cap with Ult Inferno with only 4sp... Needs more like 3 hits without even changing increasing the %.

@above I think MM still destroy WH in the contest for "most forgotten class". Illusion Step has been completely broken since [b]ASCENSION[/b] and CO has been unusable since god knows when because using Pierce with it will crash the game. Having to dismount to buff glitched CO and AB doesn't seem so bad does it?

I'm definitely satisfied that MM lost lulAFA. MM got some nice and definitely needed changes while BMs got a tiny boost. nbd

F6. Thief and pirates got a FULL Revamp. This revamp is VERY good for marksman But bowmasters got 3 changes. So let us complain like everyone else who complain.
Just think about it if u were in our shoes...

1v1 is debatable, but mercedes still have superior mobility, potential, and surviveability, especially since IS is still glitched. and they're a legends(and hero) class, which almost assures that they'll always stay near the top dpm from now on, compared to lowly adventurer marksmen

thanks to a mercs buffs (someone refresh me on the skill that adds 45% td..) a merc has better mobbing than a bm almost no matter what strictly because of the fact that a merc with my funding has a buffed range 30k higher than mine (100k on a bowmaster)

if they buffed hurricane more, i could settle with mediocre mobbing.
but wow, 250% ->260%. and a 10atk increase on concentrate, which is also shared with MM...

it would be nice if they buffed hurricane to like, 290% or something around there.
wild hunters got 270% but crossbows are stronger than bows. they can also move around while using WAB, so that'll make up for hurricane being stronger.
idk how strong ishtar's ring is but mercedes got a lot of other good skills.
rapid fire does 300% and i think they got a final attack like skill too, which makes it even better.

i think 290% hurricane will be nice. and maybe stance too but i think asking for 290% hurricane is already too much

pierce a 6 hitt skill @-@ wow it just looks like 1 arrow how can 1 arrow hit 6 time let alone 3 -__-

but w/e it still a beast skill and i just might have to make my 4th marksman

Basically the buffs from spirit link becomes passive. Meaning it's a permanent boost and summoning phoenix would just be for extra damage and nothing more.

Really glad to see this! I didn't like having to cast Phoenix all the time just to get the attack boost, especially in an area where I didn't want to aggro nearby mobs. So, thumbs up for that.

6 hit like 2.4m cap dmg per hit = instant dead crockies<3 instant dead almost any party mob yeee

This revamp is just...

We have terrible mobbing and survivabilty, our 1v1 attack not even close to being strongest. Fourth job strafe +10%, oh wow. That helps. We so do use strafe at 4th

This revamp should be called: Marksman glittering revamp instead of Archer revamp. The bow users got the worse end of the stick again

To be honest, I flipped out of my chair at the MM changes (because my MM is one of my old mains I still play).

I mean, I'm not complaining (that much) but 20% pdr defence ignore? ADVANCED FINAL ATTACK? What the heck? Why is this in there? I just wanted regular ol' final attack to work with US since they removed it but this is a little too much. AFA is a skill for those that have hurricane skill (not including Corsairs bullet skill). STOP FREAKIN' ADDING HITS AND NERF THE LEGENDS or something! What the heck is with this crappy balancing anyway?

Changed - bulletCount (6 --> 8) (6 --> 8)
New - ignoreMobpdpR (20) (2*level)

Piercing Arrow:
Changed - damage (520 --> 260) (400+4*level --> 200+2*level)
Changed - attackCount (3 --> 6)

This revamp to archers seem really pointless except to add more glitter to the MMs and to call this a revamp is misleading.

There's not actually any change for Pierce, they halved the damage and doubled the number of hits, so this buff only affects the godliest of people who can hit 1m with a single hit of Pierce, which is no one.

The US Buff lets us reach 100% Ignore Def more easily so that's cool. (25 from MMS, 10 from 100 Ambition, 30 from Leafre Codex, 20 from US puts you at 85; can use a nebulite or potential line to hit 100 easily)

AFA won't mean much if it doesn't activate with ultimate strafe; I guess this is what Marksman are replacing Illusion Step with. Oh well.

err LOLWTF. if anything i thought theyd change snipe to 8 hits for obvious reasons. all G, and i do feel bad for BMs- didnt get anything really. overall, archers need to be top in the dps charts; relatively, our survivability is horrid and we make up for it with our dps- thats conventionally how it was supposed to be.

Seriously, I have always loved my fellow MM. But what I dislike, is this inequality they call "balancing" by KMS.
Ultimate Strafe: +Dmg, +Hits, +Ignore Def, +AFA. Hurricane: +Dmg. Oh btw, MMs will also pwn even more in Mobbing. Seriously?

I guess I also, will also quit my BM.

I like it. The jobs are already plenty strong and fun, so no need for major buffs/changes. MMs did get more than BMs did, but I don't think it's by an amount worth complaining about at all.

is there sp left for marksman to have afa? i mean in 4th job everyone gets 243 sp. all marksman skill already sum up 250. now they will be 280?

Meh, doesn' t look too fun, just a few % damage increases, no biggy unfortunately. Seems like they're losing their touch with the whole updates idea a whole lot more recently and its reflecting the amount of people playing.
