the book is more light hearted and much more fun/funny than the movie. Honestly you can't even compare the two, the movie is so different from the source material. but they are both great ! !

Deception Point by Dan Brown (author of The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons),

Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base

I'd also recommend books on serial killers, they're so entertaining and fascinating. Some good ones are The Night Stalker, and any book by Philip Carlo (The Butcher is a great one to start with).

I started the 2nd book of the Maze Runner series: Scorching Trials. Pretty good thus far.

It's not really a novel but M. Butterfly by David Henry Hwang is great, in my opinion.

Less than Zero is odd, yet I couldn't put the book down. It's written by the same author as American Psycho.

If you're interested in Howl's Moving Castle, read the rest of Dianna Wynne Jones' books. They're hard to come across, but it's worth the trouble because they're really fun and awesome reads.
