How do you beat Mewtwo?

Before you go on, I'm not talking about in-game, but in a "competitive" way.
(I use quotes, because I'm battling my cousin who somewhat knows how to use Mewtwo. But both of us are not considered competitive.)

The moves I know he has so far. (No held item btw)
Recover
Psystrike
Aura Sphere
? (Sorry, he uses those three moves more)

How do I beat his Mewtwo as fast as possible? (Assume he never did EV training)

EDIT: I'm facepalming myself as I pressed submit too fast and forgot to put it in the nintendo section. I apologize.

I forgot to mention I don't play with legendaries. That's just how I roll.

And I'll give Aegislash a try and see what happens.

M-Gengar can check mewtwo if it isnt scarf variant. scarf ogre checks unboosted mewtwo as well. aegislash can be a hard check to mewtwo. there are probably more checks but mewtwo doesnt have a true counter.

My Cradily easily shrugged off a Psyshock and one-shot a Mewtwo-Y with Mirror Coat. Bet that dummy was expecting a Spdef build.

From my experience in random online battles (using my team as an example): Volcarona can use Bug Buzz, Zoroark can use Night Daze, and Mega Gyarados can use Payback. Those moves usually 1 hit, because I feel people use Mewtwo for the lulz and serious trainers wouldn't be using him anyway

I don't think I've ever played Ubers so I can't say much for Mewtwos. Aegislash walls that set pretty well provided the last slot isn't Fire Blast and can just set up an SD. +2 252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Shadow Sneak vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mewtwo: 350-414 (98.8 - 116.9%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO.
I mean that's provided you want to run Adamant SD Aegislash, which people don't often do anymore, though Shadow Ball does a hefty chunk too if you're running the Quiet Nature set.
Also yeah, depending on what the other move is, Sableye and Spiritomb wall that set.
pokemon was fun when i was little like 7-10 years ago but now it's like so dumb. just my opinion.
wth is this competitive battling and ev crap..?
kinda like SSBM-> it became competitive. real techniques; systems; tournaments; fame; other stuff

well, if its multiplayer; simple yet able to have complex systems; famous content-> it'll have competition.

competition and fame and complexity and ease of access and creativity. thats what happened.
