Back in my country my parents never beat me but my teachers did. I used to get in trouble and they used to hit me with rulers and crap. My friends had it worse though, since their parents would beat them if they got in trouble @ school. so they got like 2 beatings for 1 thing. my parents left me @ 2 and i didnt see them till i was like 7 when i came to america.

I used to get beaten by my mom when I was a kid but I guess it was understandable cos I wasn't a well behaved child. I got hit with a clothes hanger, wooden stick and sometimes just her hands. The worst punishment I got was she made me kneel in rock salt with my arms raised to the side for an hour or two (it really hurts lol). My grandma was super strict on my mom and her siblings so I guess she got that way of disciplining kids from her. When I started high school, she stopped doing it because she thinks me I'm too old for that. I never hated her for it, we even ended up talking about those 'moments' sometimes and laugh about the things she did to me.

My dad never got mad at me but he did it one time when he was drunk. He was talking to me and he didn't really made sense so I answered him back. My mom just died, he was depressed and was drinking a lot so I guess he wasn't able to control himself and he ended up hitting me. I can't remember but it was a mixture of a slap/punch. The awkward moment was there were other people at the house. I guess I didn't want to look like a helpless little b___ so my reflex was to hit him back (I'm a girl and I should've just stay put). We almost started beating up each other when my brother stopped us.

To be honest they were pretty chill parents and only got mad if I did something bad (e.g. stealing money from them lol). They never got mad when I got low grades, had to repeat a subject or even dropping out of sophomore hs (as long as I go back next year they said). Like I said before I don't hold any grudges against them. My mom used to say 'sorry but you'll only understand (why she did it) me when you're older and I kinda understand her now.

@Aikrol: I doubt anyone would have the motivation to make a story purposely false yet believable. there's just no point to it. When people write these stories, alot of the time, it's to vent (as strange as it sounds), and yeah, if they get reported to the police or something, 1) the police aint gonna really bother 2)if they do, what does anyone have to lose assuming they tell the truth?

Never have. But the worse they would ever do was hiding my soccer ball .

@SSjunker: Look, I have had my share of people who don't believe me when I say it, and I have those that do. I don't know how much you care for my word, but I'm telling the truth, but there's no way I could back it up (come to my house? haha). If you don't think I'm sayin the facts, it doesn't really bother me; i used to get mad at people who didn't, you know cuz I went through all that and I'm getting someone who doesn't believe anything I'm sayin. If it was you i'm pretty sure you'd get pissed off too! But hey, I understand what you're thinking too. Anyone online can lie. And hell yeah rereading my story I think it's kinda unbelievable too. But you just gotta at least understand I'm telling you the truth, and if you can't, just please don't bother telling me I'm lying. I know I'm not, and it kinda just angers me after I spend all that effort to type out all of my memories and crap.

I know that feeling man. Even after all these years I have nothing for hate for my father.
Maybe if it were just me that got all the abuse then it would be one thing, but I'll never forgive him for what he put my mother and siblings through.

Unfortunately, I've gotten used to typing like that by chatting and learning how to chat with some certain people who type like I originally did. It's an environmental factor; for instance, although a horrible example, if you were raised into a society full of bike fanatics and your parents, neighbors, and siblings were no exceptions, you probably would grow up using a bike!

It actually makes me start to tear up thinking about it, because the recent one was that my mom kept blaming me for the most absurd things that I couldn't take it anymore and I threw my phone. It left a mark on the wall (yet my brother is bipolar and when he made a hole in the wall she did nothing) talk about the favourited child with special needs, huh? So, I locked myself in my bathroom and she proceeded into telling me to come out. I finally come out and she begins to hit me for about 10-15 times. This wasn't the first time, and certainly isn't the last. I still love my mom, but a part of me still resents her for acting a certain way towards me and not my older brother. All in all, if I ever become rich and famous I'll definitely stop seeing my family on a regular basis and avoid them by sending money + buy them a new house

On the bright side it helps me with my acting skills, because it helps me cry on command!

Jeez it's like everyone who gets beat gets serious beatings here.
I got beat from 5-13 because of bad things I did. I'm glad I was beat, because it teaches you things.
When I say beat, it's always the belt. Good ol' leather belt. Hear the sound of the clanking buckle and you freeze up. You know you did something wrong.
My parents beat me on my palms only. I got hit once on my butt because my hands were sorta sore so I just turned around.
Hit my sisters once for no reason when I was young, got beat.
Took some food and lied about it, got beat.
Beat up my brother, got beat.
Cursed at my mom because I was dumb, got beat.
I'm perfectly fine now. It's hard seeing people who got beat and hate their parents for it, I love mine for it. It's just discipline.

Lol you guys have some scary parents, sorry to hear about it :x. Anyways. I was pushed down wooden stairs. (PRETTTY DAMN LONG) and i got a broomstick whipped to my face multiple times, the stick itself not the brushes. and mom always had this [b]THICK ASS STICK[/b] and I ended up with lots of cuts, and bruises. MY MOM IS A KILLING MACHINE. My dad on the other hand is really REALLY nice. He always yells at her when i get hit :x That's why i love my dad <3

Same happened to me, I got 3 beating for 1 D on my report card. It was in god dam french, they never had french classes it's freaking hard they wouldn't even listen to my explanation they just asked me to get them a switch ....

Every time I "hurt" my little sis, I always get a severe consequence for it. Once, my dad was around and he got hella pissed after I slapped my sis on the shoulder (It wasn't a painful slap either...). He came up to me, picked me up by the neck, and threw me down onto the wooden floor. After that, he started smacking me in the face and beating me repeatedly with his belt. Lets just say I had to stay in the hospital for a while...
I don't think that's as bad as what happened to @Amyrlin though.

Wow... People seriously have some messed up parents. Quite a few of the parents of the people in this thread need to learn to treat people with respect. Children aren't belongings which you are entitled to just throw about and do whatever you want with them... They belong to themselves, and if parents don't treat them properly and respectfully they shouldn't be allowed to be parents. Personally (I am still a child, though often people mistake me for someone in my late twenties ) I guess I'm privileged to have understanding parents who treat me as a human being, and not some belonging or slave... And also, my parents are willing to admit when they are wrong (I can't stand adults who go by that "Because I'm an adult and you're just a child, I'm always going to be right." mentality...), and they're also willing to change their views on pretty much any subject (if the argument against their views seems logical to them, of course...).

Summary: My parents wouldn't hit me. Particularly not over something as petty as grades. If they aren't pleased with something I've done (or vice versa) we'll discuss it like the civilized people that we are, and more to the point, they come with an open mind, and are willing to change their mind after hearing my side of things... Hurrah for awesome parents!

It's always my dad. One time he just punched me hard over 20 times in my right arm. Bruises.
His attitude changed my personality. Both my uncle and grandfather died (father's side, though irrelevant), and I didn't cry. I was sad, but I seem to have lost the will to cry.

I'm asian and I haven't taken a beating ever... I'm not spoiled, I think it's just the lawyer blood in me to talk my way out of anything. That, and the fact that I usually behave well. My parents aren't abusive either, and I already got my dad to quit drinking and smoking, so I think I'm safe.

The worst beatings I had was when I was younger but as I grew older they gave up on me so the beatings stopped. My brother on the other had belt whippings on his back that were bleeding like crazy up to when he was about 14...guess it worked though he's doing way better than me right now at basically everything.

When I was little my parents would pull my pants down and whip me with a belt and I would cry and scream from the pain. They told me if I cried, they would keep beating me, but I couldn't hold it in since it hurt so badly. They ended up beating me for so many times I lost count.

It's not like I'd even do anything bad either If I got a C or broke a glass or something insignificant, they'd just go hard with that belt.

I guess that's why I'm so well behaved now lol.. When someone beats you for something you can't even prevent, it makes you never want to do anything they'd have a legitimate reason for even more..

Uhm. The only time my mom had ever beaten me was when I was like 7, because I couldn't memorize the multiplication table.
She's sitting next to me with a long rattan & if I couldn't answer her multiplication questions as soon as I could, she would hit me with it & my grandparents had to stop her.

I got the face of a 18-19 year old, only 5' 11', but ya i guess i'm pretty big. my mom and i aint real rich so when i was littler i used to do some bad stuff on the street to get some cash, but i realized that hurt other kids in the long run so i stopped and got a real job on top of school. idk, tupac said thugs were ppl who lived in the gutter who made their lives better, like rags to riches, and damn man i hope thats me lol.
