Jett

The squishiness is literally killing me

I'm using the CTRL attacks to kill monsters and my Jett is dying constantly.
I don't have the money to afford any HP familiars. What can I do to boost my DEF or should I like use Starforce Salvo to kill things I am at a loss.

Not sure how your dying, only way my jett(129) dies is on certain bosses. use only ginger pots. they do 75% mp and hp, then you will never die really. on normal mobs

@AznFlip: Thus, bottom tier, and not the worst. Possibly subjective: I rarely get hit on my NL, which is much more than I can say for my Jett. Sairs are definitely worse, and I doubt anyone would dispute that.

@SodiumOH: Mechs have Satellites and a Heal Bot, so I wouldn't say they're worse...

I'm not entirely sure what you're doing wrong, but Jetts aren't that squishy. They're like cannoneers. Not tanks, but not that squishy.
So, I guess use potions when needed? Specifically the NLC pots.
Also, take advantage of i-frames, I know I do.

If it makes you feel better, some classes are way squishier than this class: Mechanic, Corsairs
OP, and most other people who find Jetts squishy, aren't remotely close to your level and don't have maxed out def and avoid, let alone 44-50k HP. You're the exception, not the rule, and Jetts definitely feel like they're in the bottom tier when it comes to inherent survivability.
Those people haven't played very many ranged classes. Classes like Sairs and NLs are much squishier for the majority of maplers. With over 35k HP, I definitely feel like they can out tank many classes.

Go to 6 paths and get a shroom familiar, it's the worst HP familiar, but it's like 5% HP every 15 secs or so... Which you don't have, making it better than nothing.

They drop after killing about 5 shrooms.

I use these to train at stronghold, when my mutant snail expires, even in my case it's better than nothing.

I use Allie for my familiar that I hunted myself. For training I uses upheaval and tap beatdown. I 1hko most things. If your planet buster is cooled down, you kinda link it behind beatdown to give it an extra umph. i'm between 25k and 30k HP at level 137 and i rarely fall below 18k while grinding. I only use starline when i'm on a map that crashes when using upheaval (like some extreme monster park maps). Also, I'm not using any cards for HP buff. I do have the cannoneer link skill at level 70 though.

Dude my HP like is like 30k buffed at lvl 160. Get some S rank decks and also set effects they help a lot. Kaiser's link can help A LOT.
What level are you at? And did you make your Jett before or after the revamp?
I heard that newer Jetts have more HP.
Link skills, get a pet, level up willpower, learn to dodge using crossover . Jetts have more hp% then sairs but feel as squishy as sairs early on, so if your lower then 150 and no funding you'll have a enjoyable time.

Or If you're tired of being squishy go get a mihile Mihilles is litterally the best class you can ever play it's even one of the most popular as well, with its low dmg and its variety of different types of skill I'm sure you will enjoy it

@LitheMovement Yeah, on the receiving end-of damage when I use the mobbing combo I am constantly receiving touch damage from monsters. Idk if I'm just an idiot or if there's supposed to be iframes or not.

@MagicFrappe: What, as in there's no grace period between damage? That definitely sounds like a glitch.

@LitheMovement I am just training at Dragon Forest to test out skills and adjust to the new playstyle. The monsters deal 1.4k to me, and by using the full CTRL skill combo I pretty much rush right through them and lose a large chunk of my hp. Which is why I'm pretty sure that this is either an issue with my Jett being pre-revamp, or I'm not playing correctly.

Why don't you use potions? Where do you train where monsters actually hit hard enough to dent 11.5k HP?

Get the Mano Familiar, its the easiest one that drops and heals a large amount of hp when summoned.

@freezenlight and @CathySenpai I don't have enough S rank cards to fill up all three sets with them but even with the most efficient sets HP-wise my Jett's hp is only 11.5K.

@Anthorix which cheap familiars give hp?

Reply September 11, 2014 - edited
Anthorix

also, hp familiars are affordable-> few mil

also, hp potion pet skill
