Do you still play Maplestory? Why?
Do you still play MapleStory? I haven't played in a long time because of obvious balance issues and the money sink.
I met a lot of amazing people, had a girlfriend in real life indirectly from MapleStory and sometimes I even question what I would be like as a person if I never played MapleStory or if I had chosen a server different than Broa. I'm 23 now and my Maple memories are a long time ago. =p
What games do you play now instead? I play competitive Battlefield and I'm excited for the release of Battlefield 4 on PC.
Thanks for reading. ~

@Rorik92: That's a good answer. I was just curious.
I guess I'm attached to it. Probably because I played since childhood.
And cause @Cowsmilkyway : Hey sexy <3 :* ilyilyilyilywhysosexy
Also, because of my friends. Especially -pretenditaggedjosephine- WHEREISYOU?
It's one of the few games I like. I'm somewhat not into most 3D games and the other games I've liked are now non-existent.
@Darthic: hmmm, its a good question. I'm not really sure why I still hang out here, I definitely like to browse the art and read some of the strange things people post though, guess I could do that elsewhere O_o.
@Snowybolts: Just curious that's all
Still playing because I've found the nicer part of Maple that pushes me onwards to my goals
Currently also playing Aion, Dragon Nest, and Mabinogi, but not as often as Maplestory. Not at all.
I don't care a single bit of any nerfs or money issues. I just play the game for fun and as a pastime.
i play Aurora World online
I'm in break for MS, this game is just getting increasingly worse/boring... Going to play again when RED update arrives.
Now is League of Legends, Silkroad-R, Aion that I'm playing.
The world is just so large, varied, and accessible that it's nice to just travel around sometimes. Being on the game can just be fun
i've 'invested' alot of time and effort in this game; no sense tryin to quit.
even if it's 'on and off' in terms of playtime, i still play it to an extent
I still play, because I like the idea of a 2d sidecsrolling/platformer RPG. While there's obviously a bunch of p2w content, there's also a lot of classes which makes for varied gameplay, despite two of the ones I'd really like to continue playing being considerably buggy at the moment. I've spent $10 in the last 4-5 months on Maple, and that was on equip/use slots.
As for what else I play at the moment, Dota 2, Rogue Legacy, Fallout New Vegas, Marvel Heroes, Pokemon Y, and Monster Hunter 3 U/G.
@Darthic: To be honest, Mmmm I'm not sure exactly why but I like checking out the basil screens from time to time. I just saw this forum post and hey, they asked a question. Why not answer? -shrugs-
I only been on for the daily attendance then log off to play some guild wars 2. and other games. is hard to play maple when there is other games does stuff way better then Nexon.
bo2, basketball
Dont know what bo2, but you like basketball!
I still play because it is still fun for me. Maybe cause I the don't play pay to win.
I quit approximately 2 months ago now? Umm other games, I play league, dota 2, osu, any and all fire emblem games, and been playing crap tons of mario cart wii with my friends.

Nope. Quit 6 months ago. Ain't nobody got time for this.
If Rorik92 & Snowybolts quit months ago. Why do you still follow basilmarket post about the game ? Very strange to me.
i play a lot of 1/1/1 pizza from pre-bb. not for nostalgia sake. i didnt play during those times so i feel like i missed out. i don't touch gms for a lot of reasons.
what do i play? playstation 3. favourite games are god of war 3, infamous/2, bioshock (just 1) and killzone 3. and im siked for ps4. i'm like the console version of a hardcore pc gamer.
I love progression.
Maple's probably one of the best games out there in which you can continuously and indefinitely better yourself and take on a challenge that you weren't able to yesterday.
Sure, many call it "pay to win," but it's the fact that you're never really able to become the best that keeps you striving ever forward, albeit complaining all the way.
too bad other games do this aspect way better
No, I'm pretty glad I stopped lol. Doing these daily attendances is annoying as hell especially when you come home late night and there is a unscheduled maintenance. Nexon is crap. Also, I just realised the amount of money I spent on this game, and I regret it now.
So what exactly is "Unleashed"? I don't know much about the game anymore.
It was a big update a short while back. A lot of stuff changed, and as for whether it was for the better or the worse is hard to say.
So what exactly is "Unleashed"? I don't know much about the game anymore.
I'm chatting with my MapleStory Skype group and I'm realizing now what someone else said. You're never able to become the best. That's my goal in anything that interest me. To become nothing less than the absolute best by a landslide. It's not possible in games that have a pay to win feature and that's what I've greatly lost interest in games that require that. That and I also have a really strong dislike of the community. Really immature and tons of "fake" people.
Thanks for thread bump? O_o
uhhh, did you not ask in the title if we still play maple. i answered. has nothing to do with a bump.
I've returned to MapleStory because I still plan to do at least every major boss once, collect all the codex cards, revive my guild to actives, get at least 1 dude to 200, and make a lifetime selling my all cures. At least with these 5 goals, I can have some motivation to play.
you're never really able to become the best
That's what pokemon is for!
I really enjoy the artwork in Maplestory. It used to be better before they simplified all of the maps, but it's still cool.
I also have a guild full of some great people that I enjoy interacting with. They are probably my biggest motivation for playing Maplestory.
Other basic elements like training and bossing are still moderately enjoyable for the time being.
The music is also nice.

@nc4228: Lol that literally happened to me today. the person was a yoshi too, it was ridiculous but yeah it's a shame that there aren't alot of players.. i'm always forced to either wait for a while in a lobby or find people on the internet
Maplestory
Conquer 2.0
League of Legends
no.
because no.
Thanks for thread bump? O_o
No, b/c Pokemon X.
no.
because no.
I play cause I enjoy the game for some reason I just love it and I don't know why...
Now I'm leveling really slowly on my crusader and only doing quests to level him up its actually pretty enjoyable
Literally only log for unique pot scrolls.
Casually upgrade, just to sit in hene , nothing else to do.
I do, my friend and amazing guild are what keep me in this game nowadays.
I remember you @Maj0ra, weren't you the leader of Aura?
Yes, sir! I guess I still am since the guild is dead. I'm using that name now to build a team on Battlefield that I hope can have good success!~
I had the most fun playing MapleStory than any other MMORPG games out there. Of course, now... it sucks so bad.
@Maj0ra
lemme suggest "Project Melee", especially if you like melees gameplay more. they bring back the competition aspect and you can easily use it to reskin your characters
@QuantumLegend i never really realized that part of the game, and now i do. makes me appreciate it a lot more
Haha I let my friend borrow my Wii so he can practice Project Melee. I'm not really into Smash anymore because I don't have what it takes to become great. Requires a lot of travel and dedication.
No, I don't play MapleStory anymore. There's nothing to do
I've picked up Super Smash Bros Brawl though; I realized that even though the online play can be really laggy, it's actually extremely fun
Not when u meet some OP guy that deals 120% damage before you even manage to successfully hit him once... but yea, it's pretty awesome. Too bad almost no one plays it now.
Nope. Quit 6 months ago. Ain't nobody got time for this.
I play because I make a living selling all cures. What am I even saying

I have a deep attachment to the Smash series. One of the best competitive scenes out there.
All I do is AFK now, but I might play more when Hayato hypers are out. o.o
I sometimes play Mabinogi, but I mainly just draw and work on my RPG game I'm making.
