My brother sang a song and played the chords on guitar for his promposal senior year. If you have to play music in the background, you're a failure.
@onlinemusic yes that's why it's kind of a lose-win. I wish people would just freaking ask people like any other date. "Hey, wanna go to prom with me?" What's the point of a big display besides confirming that you don't know whether they'll say yes?
I understand that it's a sweet gesture but do people do these kinds of things to make girls feel more obligated to say yes? Because my friend did this and the girl he asked only agreed because she didn't want to reject him with so many people watching. Kinda off topic...
