Subbed for me personally. I can`t fathom people who think dub lovers are some sort of contagious plague, like really.

Subs>Dubs

Dubs mostly have terrible voice actors (or the Japanese voice actors were better). The ones I've seen all sucked, and I prefer reading subs and not understanding a clue of what they are saying.
@Amuro Well yeah, but you can't tell its overacted, that's the thing. Or if it you can, it doesn't sound quite as cheesy because we don't have full understanding of the language, so yeah, I guess its all those factors.

Also, for bad dubs, the Kirby anime/show thingy, when it got dubbed, gave Meta Knight a Mexican accent. Like seriously?
The Meta Knight thing was a corny reference to Zorro lol

All subbed besides a few very well done dubbed imo.
Naoki Urasawa's Monster, which I've watched 10+times is the best dub I've heard.
DBZ, Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha and mostly everything on Toonami when I was a kid was nicely dubbed.

That said I enjoy Crunchyroll since listening to the Japanese language is great.

If I have the choice, it's always a case by case thing. That being said, any dub that censors, re-writes, and/or changes the soundtrack automatically loses a lot of points.

@SoulBlade The folks over at 4Kids could honesty publish a book of what not to do in the dubbing process. I'd love to understand the thinking process that led to Ren having a British accent and Ryu having an Italian accent.
@zpattack12 It's because you don't understand the language that you feel that way. Overall, I think Japanese voice acting in anime is quite a bit more exaggerated.

Depends on the anime. I tend to prefer Dub because I don't feel like having to look back the screen to understand everything they are saying. If it's tolerable (the voice acting not annoying me) then i'll watch dub. I watch sub too because many animes are just subbed.

Cowboy Bebop's dub for me, rest is all sub.

There are a few main reasons for me that subs tend to be better than dubs. Anime is very distinctly Japanese, so hearing American voices come out of distinctly Asian art feels rather awkward at times. There's also the fact, well I don't understand the language, so I can't be as critical about it as I am with English. My last point is just a personal theory, but I find a lot of dubs to be way overacted, and that's possibly due to American Animation being almost all comedy/kids shows, with little "serious" animation.

Dubbed whenever available. I often multitask while streaming shows online, and it's delightful knowing what's going on without looking at the screen for context.

certain, and i mean certain, dubs tend to be superior than even subs.
emphasis on CERTAIN dubs cuz not all dubs are created equal

Subbed are usually easier to find and have more episodes (with ongoing anime), so I usually chose that, but I don't mind watching anime dubbed unless its really bad Shaman King).

There are some anime that I watched dubbed and had absolutely no problem with
Clannad/Clannad AS
FMA:Brotherhood
Death Note
Yu Yu Hakusho
DBZ
Wolf's Rain
Darker than Black(This one is meh, it was on Netflix when I first watched it and it was dubbed. I didn't mind it at all when I first started but then I rewatched it subbed and I liked it much more.)

Besides those anime right there, everything else I watched subbed. Sometimes the voice acting is just awful.

If there is a dub then I'll test it out and compare it to the subbed version and then decide which one I want to watch. I mostly watch subbed, but there are rare occasions, such as the Yu Yu Hakusho dub, where I refuse to watch the subbed just because I love the dub so much.

It depends on the anime I prefer subbed for most of my animes but DBZ, inuyasha and a few others, it's mainly about how the voice sounds

Mostly subbed... however, there are anime I absolutely can't watch unless it's dubbed...

...mostly, it's "Baccanno!"
The English VA cast does a fantastic job, honestly with only one or two minor characters being slightly annoying. Their use of period slang and accents are so well-done, that I honestly can't watch it subbed.

Most people think subs are superior because they can't understand what they're saying.
It's for that reason. If you actually learned the language and could understand it you'd know that a lot of it is actually awful.

That's why dubs

Subbed, the only time I ever had dubbed was with DBZ or inuyasha.
