What do you miss about the old Ms

So I just came back to maplestory after about 5-6 years of playing and I've slowly been acquiring gear for my zero. I'm getting some good gear but now I'm stuck at the point where I have like 12 equips I need to cube and my head is spinning. This potential system is driving me crazy. Remember when you just needed 60% scrolls for everything. Damn life was so easy . Tell me what you miss about the old MS.
I miss:
1. Training in Hennesys and it taking like a week. Now I can get to 180 in a week lol.
2. Crying when you been attempting the zakum jq for a day straight.
3. Teaming up with other noobs to do the mushing pq.
4. When someone would drop mesosacks and you would run to it and then a summoning sack appeared out of nowhere and koed you. Lol
5. When people struck up conversations with you no matter what level you were.
6. Killing those noob snails so you can get off the beginner island.
MS might be better now and it might be nostalgia clouding bad memories but who else misses old MS?

1. That horrible JQ you had to do in order to get to that CWKPQ area and train at Windraiders.
2. Avoiding Bigfoot at all times.
3. CPQ and KPQ were the best PQ's they ever invented (in my opinion)
4. Scrolling a 'godly' weapon would be around 130 atk at the most
5. Holding a Jester/Gallos channel 12 hours before 2x started
& so much more...
Not necessarily old, but I missed Chaos PvP, it was the most fun I had in maplestory since I started playing pre-ludibrium.

Otherwise it would be Bigfoot hunting and gpq.. because the bosses were a force to be reckoned with back then.
I loved bigfoot.
PvP. I don't care if it was laggy or imbalanced, it was so much fun.

EDIT: Oh, old MS. Pre-BB Bandits then. I miss the old skill animations too, especially Savage Blow, Dragon Fury/Buster, Heal and Arrow Rain.
I completely forgot about arrow rain, I LOVED THAT ATTACK

Ecarina

Meteor Spam
Going on my first Scarga run with high-level friends (not that I was any help xD since mages couldn't really boss back then)
Doing quests for my skills
Having Elquines on my F/P. I'm not sure what it is but having the ice golem when all your attacks are fire or poison related was cool. Now it's just another boring fire attack.
Doing Ariant PQ for the chair and needing to avoid leveling over 30 or else I wouldn't be able to get it.
Getting to 3rd job for the first time
Getting to 4th job for the first time
That one time someone called me a noob and I showed him my level 132 F/P and he backed down.
Training on Skeles despite being much lower leveled than them.
Arguing over the KMS vs. JMS method for LPQ (JMS is better if you just learn how to do it >:l)
Getting my pet to level 15 (which took forever) and making him talk for the first time.

Good ol' rose tinted glasses.

I loved being in orbis station, riding on the boat with 2 new players that I had met before. It was fun getting handed to by a jr. Balrog, I think it was the excitement of being near death vs something that has a full hp meter, with 5 mins on the clock. I think having little to no clue what to do on maple made it more rewarding to me. It was a rare experience, truly a cherishing one, but, I think that special feeling of being a new player to a veteran, no, experienced" mapler, it starts to draw into you. Funny, I guess I'm growing out of maple.

1. Old maple had quest to get some items that you can't now.
2. Maker skill which gave android headgear.
3. Old Henesys.
4. A lot of events with decent items.

I liked the exploration of old maple
the hidden streets and the overall foreignness toward the game
I remember when every NPC had some importance to a quest I would do. I was so keen on going to Mu Lung for the first time and discovering all the unseen areas I hadn't been too
Nowadays I've been to basically most areas and the areas I haven't are the same generic map structure with mobs to kill nothing left to explore.
Quests used to be fun and rewards were worth it. I remember how stoked I was when one of the Ariant Quests gave a free shoe on completion and I actually paid attention to the dialogue and story
Now in its current state I literally play to make the numbers bigger on my screen and bossing
I seriously don't know what's so fun about this game but I still keep on playing o.o

Slime Tree was a good map, and so was Pig Beach until the terrifying Iron Pig spawned. All hell breaks loose.
I miss Power Guard, being able to tank hits and dishing the damage right back regardless of how much Accuracy I had.

The lower reliance on damage. Bossing was more entertaining when you actually had multiple people trying to take out a single boss. It was a collective effort, not a daily boss thing for reward points and to get it over with then leave the game. Also not one shotting things 10 levels above me was nice.

I absolutely loved playing dg in the hene pot shop and just hanging out in Kerning on those pipes, but after I came back recently.....
needless to say I was disappointed.

CPQ actually made training fun lol. Now you do RNJ nonstop from 70-140 smh. @xdoutcast
I remember when I tried to make a bandit and failed miserably. So I made an nl. Bandits were for pros back then. @repentant

I think the most fun I ever had in ms was when CPQ came out.
Grinding back then was god awful, but PQs were always fun to me.
Oh, also using monster sacks in CH1 kerning. gud stuf
