What do girls usually want and like for a valentine's day gift?

coworker asked me this today
i told him to take her to a shooting range lolol
he was like "wow that's a great idea!"
idkkkk i would want a 500 dollar gift card to macy's if i were in ur positoin wink iwnk winkwink
...okayy...
OT: Yeah, probably like a rose (a dozen would work better) and something thoughtful. Getting my friend a couple roses and a thoughtful hand-made drawing/card.
A card, stuffed animal or take her out somewhere nice.
food. who doesn't love food? Maybe macaroons? Chocolate?
Or a long sweet letter? That would be romantic!
they want to eat a nice cooked meal w/ wine while wearing their pajamas and binge-watching tv shows with us then having hot sex and a good night's rest
but mostly food|sex|comfort
Thanks! @Everlong
Surprise her with a romantic candlelit dinner at a fancy restaurant and a dozen roses. Then a stroll on the beach at night under the stars.
@Miney @ItsMrsForYou She said she isn't free on that day as she has exams. However, I would still like to do something special for her.
EDIT: @Icephoenix21 @iDrinkOJ
Something personal is usually a good gift. It shows that you care for her and pay attention to her interests. It's not always the big and extravagant gifts that are better, it's the little things that people appreciate.

Honestly, it depends on the girl. Stuffed animals sit and collect dust-so they aren't something I would want.
I'd be content with going out to dinner and watching a nice movie (doesn't have to be at the theaters), sex, and maybe some flowers (you should know what your girls favorite type of flowers are-I prefer tulips to roses).
I agree Flowers, going out to dinner, good movie and a romantic evening/night. It's enough for me.

I take well-thought out plan for the day/night over gifts.
Especially if you plan the activities that we both enjoy doing, that can never go wrong.
But then if you really want to buy her gifts, other people have already listed those typical stuff that are given during Valentine's Day.
Check her Pintrest, or simliar sites.
You should already know what she looks at most and never buys (hopefully cause she cant afford it or dont know if she should but if she looks at something a lot) just get it
this guy knows how to do it lol
If you're not actually dating then stick with flowers and/or chocolate.
If you're in high school still you could make it fun and give 2 or 3 roses to each of the teachers she has that day with each flower having a few letters attached to it and she has to get all the flowers to spell out your message (preferably your name is in there somewhere so she knows it's from you lol).
Otherwise, I agree with what's already been said. If you know her well, you should be able to pick something she will like, whether it's something you give her or something you do with her on that day.
jewelry- necklace, bracelet
candy- chocolate
stuffed animals- hello kitty, bears
don't write poetry or songs, she'll know you're a cheapass
sharing a bottle of wine together and then having sexy times sums up what i expect for valentines day
Girls give stuff to guys on Valentines Day and guys give stuff to girls on White Day, usually anything white (marshmallow, white chocolate, etc.)

i agree with this pretty much, although if you're a good poetic/singer then i don't see why not. I'm sure those millionaires prefer being serenaded by a song that's about them compared to something they can buy themselves. Although none of us are millionaires so i guess go with the 1st couple options
Giving my lady-friend a card, a rose, and possibly one of those boxes of chocolate. She has quite the sweet tooth...
you see, women love things with no intrinsic value. they want to see your love for 'em in things that dont rly have any function, like flowers and chocolate.
do not get women jewelry or fragrance. it's too personal. (unless you two have been dating for a while).
