Have you ever been rejected?

I have a rejection story that I was just looking back on and got a kick out of it so I figured I share it basil because why the hell not? Maybe share some of your stories as well?

So, some back story to all of this embarrassment...This occurred in my junior year in high school. There was a girl in my chemistry class, she was a year older than me I believe. Well I didn't really talk to her other than some small interaction in the labs, we knew each others names and that was about it. I found her to be quite attractive physically and she seemed like a nice person. I didn't really think much of her other than being a class room acquaintance, I never really though, "Oh man I HAVE to ask her out sometime". It was nearing the end of the school year and my friends were giving me flack because I didn't ask anyone out all year. Now, I did have a girlfriend but she asked me out but they said that didn't count because I didn't get the stones to ask anyone out myself. They were the type to do anything and everything to get a girl so they were really letting me know how much of a coward I was being, even if it was jokingly. I got tired of their crap and told them I'd ask a girl out if it got them to shut the hell up. They got all excited as if they were living vicariously through me...I didn't have anyone in mind so I said they can choose who I was to ask out. They said they'll pick a pretty one for me....and who do you think happens to walk by our bench during lunch? Yeah, the girl from my chemistry class. I was like, "well damn", out of all the girls in school they had to pick one in my class. I asked if they would change their pick but they were being assholes about it and were giving me even more crap about me chickening out.

They give me until school ends to ask her out which gave me two weeks to do so. With everyday I didn't ask her out the more crap my friends would give me and the more I got sick of it. I decided to do the deed my last day to save me the embarrassment of having to meet her in class again. After my 6th and last period I see her walking in the hall. I call her name and she stops. I'm honestly pretty nervous and while I may have been looking cool and collected on the outside I was dying a little on the inside. I didn't ask her out in an obvious way like "WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME?". I said something more along the lines of "Hey I liked talking to you in class, maybe you want to hang out sometime or keep in touch". Her exact response was, "I'm sorry, I have a boyfriend". Damn, I felt like such an idiot. I didn't even like this girl but it still hurts being rejected ya' know? Still I look back and laugh at how she knew the intentions of my words. I no longer hang out with those friends, which is a good thing I guess.

So discuss, share rejection stories or w/e.
Ignore the grammar errors if there's any.

I've never been rejected.
But then again, I've never asked anyone out.

Was once denied raising my credit limit. The sense of defeat when I drove home left a trail of carbon monoxide and tears.

I remember in high school, there was this one persistent fellow who'd make it his mission to ask me out everyday and I would, consequently, reject him everyday. It got to the point where he decided it would be a GREAT idea to lay his hand on my chest and BEFORE he did, my reflex was to sucker punch him in the jaw. LOL.

Well yeah.. this one time I was hanging with this girl a met a few months earlier. Things were moving pretty fast but at that time I didnt wanna be in a relationship. I just wanted to fool around and explore my options. This one day after class we were shooting cans in the woods.. her dad has a lot of firearms.. and after staring at me for what seemed like an eternity, she asked me out.. I was like damn.... I would like to be with her, shes gorgeous.. those curves... but I would probably end up cheating anyway so I said now wasnt the best time. She got reaaaaaally angry.. I told her to calm down and as I reached to her to offer comfort she shot me in my shoulder.. the bullet came out my back and I just stood there for a sec staring at her like.... did I just get shot for rejecting a female? Then time started moving again and all the pain rushed to my arm at once... I sank to my knees and grinded my teeth hard.. I had never felt such pain.. it was so overwhelming. Her on the other hand, she was in total shocked.. terrified of what she had just done. To calm her down I simply said "well.. I was gonna offer u a shoulder to cry on but.. my blood would probably mess up that pretty dress.. a little help?" ...long story short, she nursed me back to health. We are still friends till today, we laugh about the incident now. Im just glad the bullet didnt get lodged in my shoulder or anything.

Well.. lesson of the day is.. never reject a woman with a loaded weapon.

Not really. I've only rejected one girl. We were in 7th grade and she just transfered into a few of my classes. She was really annoying and one of my teachers assigned me to sit next to her so she could catch up on how the class worked. I tried to be nice about it but after I rejected her multiple times, she kept coming back. Even after I made it explicitly clear that I didnt want anything to do with her in the most polite way that I could.
i got rejected from donating blood in high school. i wanted to donate primarily for the free snacks and t-shirt. after doing the finger prick thing to test my iron and the computer questionnaire, they rejected me because of my heart condition. they didn't want me to faint. i was honestly really hurt cause all my friends were inside the gym doing it and i was outside. the nurse offered me the free shirt, but i didn't want to feel like a fraud wearing an "i donated blood" shirt when i didn't.

this recent rejection, when toaster got toasted, is one of my favorites though.
I went to donate blood two years ago and when they asked me if I had done any drugs within the past month I left without saying a word. I didn't want to live knowing I donated tainted blood; I really wanted that shirt though.

Lol poor toaster

Well I've always been the one to turn people down, I've never been on the receiving end. I've only ever flat out rejected two girls, but there have been other situations...

There was this other girl who never got a chance to ask me out because I pissed her off. We stopped talking altogether.
Another girl whom I was friends with since childhood. According to everyone else, she was crazy for me. Problem is she was painful to talk to, incredibly shy and didn't know how to hold up a conversation. I kinda started avoiding her because it was getting too awkward; currently I haven't had sight of her in about a year.
And finally, this ham-planet of a woman who I sat next to in Grade 9 science. Her name was Larissa. She failed the class twice, so she had a couple of years on me. She asked for my number one day, and every day after that she would ask "what u doin affer skool". According to my roommate who had a class with her at her previous school, she used to sit in class, lick her hands and make cat noises literally every day for an entire year. So I stopped going to my science class.

Now that I'm out of school and don't go out often, I've pretty much lost my shot for a relationship
