What game to get for Nintendo 3ds?

Im walking to gamestop tomorrow and i dont know what game to get..
Mario Kart 7 or Fire Emblem: Awakening
Mario has multiplayer..meaning replay value!
Awakening has great gameplay and story.. but no replay value!
What should i get?

@prosecuted:

It depends really for it took 40 hours minus all the times I restarted levels where someone died.
If you thought 3DS' controls were bad try playing it on the psp ;D
but seriously once you get the controls down the game is worth way more than what it's priced at. It's my most played game by MANY hours. I have 187 hours on Monster Hunter and I don't think I'll be dropping this game any time soon.

My second most played game is Fire Emblem: Awakening. That game is awesome I'd get it over MK7 anyday. It was my first fire emblem game and damn I wish I learnt of this series earlier and the game does have replay value. Simply starting a new game could be a completely different experience. You can try new builds, ship different characters or even better play on hard mode. =P

I've clocked in at 120 hours for Fire Emblem but that's mainly because when one my characters die I quit the game and restart the level. I need everyone to be alive till the very end. It's so sad when one of your characters die simply because they cannot come back. (unless you play on casual mode but the extra challenge of actually keeping the alive is great).
How long does it take to beat the story?
I may buy used and return if i only get 20~30 hours from it..

Tales Of The Abyss is always a good game.

It seems like fire emblem is a really good game! (Even though Ive never played it) Just think about what you'll be playing more and how you'll enjoy your time playing

awakening has plenty of replay in different difficulties and pairings/kid units
there are also dlc maps and characters as well as various multiplayer/competitive content

mariokart...is just mariokart. even if 7 is actually good (MK Wii was trash so i have low expectations), it's still a multiplayer-only game.
By the way, Flipnote Studio 3D has been confirmed for an August release in NA.

If you want, I can add a reminder in notepad to PM you. I know a few others that wanted to do a MK7 tournament with me.
Miiverse will have a tournament bracket built right in, so it should be easier to setup one this time around. Plus 3DS FC are system based, unlike DS which were game specific.
I don't know when Miiverse for 3DS is coming out though. Hopefully during E3 Nintendo will release more info.
How would you gather people to a lobby?
Come to think of it, I don't really have a game to recommend other than Fire Emblem;
unless i know your type of game. Fire Emblem does have replay value. In fact, the game is played through quite quickly, but damn it's re-playable
i have difficulty replaying storylines as it grows boring very fast
However, i beat dark souls several times.. although you can completely alter the way you play it

Kid Icarus Uprising
The solo campaign is amazing with great story, likeable characters, and hilarious dialogue. The multiplyer is fun although I haven't play much it, since I'm too concentrated on beating every chapter on 9.0

Ocarina of Time 3DS or MK7.

Mario Kart 7, especially if your friends have it too. It's something you can jump right into for a few minutes or a few hours (the latter is unhealthy and not recommended, btw), and it's difficult to get old of.

@malapo I'll be keeping an eye out for a MK7 basil tournament, though with my schedule, I'll probably miss it like with that BW2 tournament being planned around winter break. ;_;
I'm actually having a hard time with Fire Emblem: Awakening and I'm only on chapter 4. Even though I'm playing on Hard/Casual, I keep getting game overs. I know there's a lot of cool content mid/late-game though, like marriage (I totally want to marry Cordelia).

I'd say try out the demo first, or try one of the GBA games. I did enjoy Fire Emblem GBA (the one with Lyn) halfway through the game until my save got deleted.

Mario Kart 7 is fun though. I plan on hosting more MK7 tournaments for the 3DS once Miiverse is released.
miiverse? btw can you chat during a game?

Fire Emblem: Awakening! Though I am biased as an FE fan, the game really is great. There is replay value if you want to challenge yourself with higher difficulty or if you want to make characters marry different characters.
