What to put on a resume for retail/store associate job?

So just a quick question; what kind of stuff should l send on a resume to an employer for a retail/store associate job?
My current resume is just list of software l can use, and art skills, etc. nothing related to retail in any way. l don't know what to put on my resume otherwise, since l don't have any other experience unless related to art crap. Should l just write BS like "ohh l am responsible, l can manage blah blah blah, and l have good communication skills", etc.
l don't want to send them a resume completely unrelated to the position.

Any tips?

Tell them you're running for president in the future, also, make sure you look everyone in the eyes when giving a hand shake and say I like that grip.

Say you'll work for minimum wage, have full time availability, and will work there for life...even if you don't intend to

social skills. but quite honestly, you need experience. if you're a newcomer, i might as well just list all the job stuff you have done previously. especially if they were dealing with people.

for a job like that they're not gonna be expecting that you've had past experience in retail. as long as you put effort into your resume and you have qualities suitable for the position they're gonna consider you. basically just type "retail/store associate resume" into google and look at examples of things you could add to your resume. i'm not telling you to lie, but for things as vague as traits and qualities, you can say that you're a responsible, efficient, and positive worker and actually be none of those. of course you want to deliver results if you don't want to risk getting fired

as for your skills, you might not be looking into it deep enough. again, try googling "what are my job skills" for some guidance. your artistic skills can work with retail cause you can say that you're good with matching colours and patterns together, you can express your creativity and style via fashion and you're passionate about the latest fashion trends. there's so much to say that you really don't need to tell a single lie; maybe just tiny fibs that are still 70% true in some way

The main thing about retail is being able to deal with people. Include key skills like being able to communicate in a customer friendly manner, being able to work independently and problem solve (ie. knowing how to deal with upset customers), and being able to deal well with stressful workloads (ie. time management in a face paced environment). Second key thing is your availability. The more flexible your schedule, the better, as there is a good chance they will need you for the "crap shifts" (evenings/weekends).

Of course, you gotta be able to back up these skills by tying it up with your own experiences, so list things you've done that will show case these skills.
