Is everyone a super saiyan?
www.basilmarket.com/forum/2555186/
Seeing that thread made me realize how completely behind I really am in terms of my range, my gear, and the damage I'm capable of dishing out. But I'm fine. I mean, I can OHKO the mobs I train on; I can kill pap before the coin I left outside the door expires; and I never liked Zakum or HT, anyway. Call that sour grapes if you want, but I just don't like them. They scare me. ;_;
Anyway, I'm wondering if I'm the only one who hasn't invested in cubes or potential. Is everyone seriously running around with 50k/100k/ ranges? Is that typical? Mine's, like, 10k. I know that's pretty low, but I never paid attention to it since I was able to play the game just fine with it.

@AsukuraExZ:
I apologize for sounding ignorant, but this is perhaps caused by the fact that wherever I go, there seems to always be a person that criticizes my range for my level. Perhaps I've gotten so used to the fact that people say my range is a piece of turd, but I meant no offence by my previous post.
I apologize for any confusion or offence this may have caused.
Let me tell you something; when you obsess over your range on Maplestory, it is a fleeting experience. I've seen good friends terrified in becoming "weak", spending so much money on the game, only to move on. The real fun - - the moments that stick with me, in my opinion, is the enjoyment obtained while with friends. That is something that no range or amount of funding can give you.
My advice is to enjoy the game for what you make it to be. If you put your mind on who is stronger than your or weaker, while it can be "fun", it is not something that you want to focus on. c:

you find your own way of playing your own characters to do what you wanna do... its your game, don't worry about what other ppl do.
Yeah, but just dont be expected to be invited to any high end boss runs (where the real fun is, not those lame quests that give you items that expire f3).
I've never been able to get out of the 10k range with any character. my highest character is 156 and my range is 12k fully buffed
Maplestory free to play, Pay to win. Yes everyone has 50k + dmg range
@taotapp
ok
i dont use nx to cube
i have underavg range for all my chars
maplestory still fun
@Taichikara
The majority(including me, I'll admit) will acquire an item and cube/scroll it to perfection using Shield Wards and Miracle Cubes. Most of this come out of pocket. That's where most of our range comes from.
While it can be done without doing so, it takes much longer to acquire the funds in game and as such most people get their range from doing the method I stated.
I didn't mean anything bad from it, it's just a fact that a majority will not get that range soley from merching/bossing. Some do it, but most don't. As such, it's harder for the average player who doesn't spend money to get that range and they shouldn't be as discouraged if they can't compete with others. Especially when its mainly the people who put that money in their range that shows it off, giving the illusion that they're extremely weak when in actuality much more people are around their damage range.
Mercedes have naturally higher ranges, don't worry.
Also, look at his equips. If you have the money to cube your Bonus potential, your range should be much higher than 100k.
Hmmmm. I gots 40k buffed on my 186 aran...kinda low when you compare it to the dudes with 200k or whateves
I beg to differ but I know a good number of people with jobs and bills (myself included) that play maple. So I would think in those instances, they did work for that range, and it's not as simple as throwing money at the game.
Forgive me, I meant as in the majority doesn't work in the game for their range.
Not everyone is engrossed in cubes and stuff.
I have a 19k range on my Mage and I haven't used any dumb cubes or anything.
Who cares about everyone else's damage just play the game. You worrying about your damage is what will lead you to spending lots of money on this game.
50k range and whatever is typical, but only for the rich.
I doubt the average player's range is that high.
I agree ^ most people seem to have that range because only the strong ones show it, other people just keep quiet either not to be made fun of (by other people) or because they don't want to.
I have about 30k buffed so don't feel to bad.
I always thought 40K range was normal.
My DS has 25k unbuffed fully equipped and my Aran around 52k.
I got lucky with my Aran's weapon though. Other than that I'm generally not too funded @.@
my nl range is 38k unbuffed
I've only got 40k range... used to have ~65k, but I've been hacked 3 times so meh
Typically, not always, but typically players with that high of a range spend money on the game
Not that it's a problem or anything, but don't worry so much about damage.
And the avg range of players is like 10-20k, not 50k/100k
Well mines 40k but I'm a bishop so
That's actually quite good imo. I only have 22k </3
Many have 100+K range, until VSS, Masks and others got beleted.
A majority don't even work for that range, they just throw money at the game. NBD.
Although as a magician, you really shouldn't compare yourself to those ranges. We have the lowest multiplier and range boosters out of everyone, after all.
its ok i've never cubed any of my armors and stuff ever, i juse buy clean empress armros for the char i get over lvl 140
don't worry about it the ones who don't care as much are more unlikely to post their ranges.
23k buffed range here. Never spent any rl money on range and I suck at merching so...
My Phantom's at 32ishk range (was 35k previously) and I'm particularly proud of the weapon I made o3o
Other than that I usually struggle to get out of the 15k range.
Not everyone is engrossed in cubes and stuff.
I have a 19k range on my Mage and I haven't used any dumb cubes or anything.

I doubt the average player's range is that high.
The standard for "good" is like 100k now, average is probably like 50k. Total speculation as I've quite.
lvl 160 drk with 10-12k range self buffed
i'm rockin' a 12k buffed range on my bishop and i'm not complaining.

Highest class i have is 196, and it has a range of just a little over 30K (I think). It's an Evan.
There are only few people who invest large amount of real money in the game.
Dont worry about it, normal people will never catch up.
Well, this is all good to know. I thought I'd missed some power-tripping event or something. I don't even
Thanks y'all.
My DB runs around with a 11k range at level 126 and my Evan runs around with a 30k or something (forget exactly) at level 186.
You're not remotely close to being the only one. I even take pride in being unfunded.
Well mines 40k but I'm a bishop so
See, that's what I mean. The dude in the link I posted is level 150 with a 100k range. I don't even-
I mean, I don't know -- I quit for a few months, came back, and suddenly people were talking about 100k ranges.
my highest char is level 110 and i only got 5m in total
jealous?
Pretty jealous, not gonna lie.
I probably have one of the lowest ranges for DB's my level @.@
(23kish unbuffed...)
