I don't own a smartphone, but this is how it looks to me:

Apple is meant for easy access, convenience, and use for the common person. It has everything you need and mostly nothing you don't need. IMO it truly is intuitive and easier to navigate and do what you want with. The OS is also very pretty and smooth, and there is a crap ton of apps to choose from.

Android is if you want an excessive amount of customization, and a bunch of little nifty features that seem quite gimmicky, like "wow you can scroll through the page with your eyeballs lol so futuristic!" I feel like Android users always use the argument of "it's faster and it's more customizable" but that's about it. And every smartphone should technically be able to run every program that it's meant to run without any lag whatsoever, so if the only speed they want to be higher is the internet speed, then that's about the provider and such, not the phone.
I don't like the way the OS looks, or how it operates. It feels unorganized and harder to navigate.
The first time I played with an iPhone, I understood it right away, and within 20 minutes at the Apple store I could find or do anything I wanted.
The first time I played with an Android, it felt clunky and I still don't know how to do everything.

I, like most other people who don't admit it, barely ever see a Windows Phone so I haven't had much of a chance to play with them. For some reason they look really nice if you like simplicity, but you still want a smartphone. It seems like most adults should probably get this OS, because there's a low amount of apps but it's not like adults want games or anything. If I was a business owner, and I provided phones for my employees, I would probably get Windows Phones.

Windows is the best for PCs.
Apple is ~~, not bad for phones. But I have miseries using it on a computer.
Android is greatly nice for phones, but sucks on PCs. I have a kind of large "TV computer (on screen)" android in my living room, and yeah... it really really SUCKS.

So imo... Windows > Android > Apple
so which android phone do you guys think is the best? the HTC one?
The Nexus 5 that will be announced in two days and likely be released by the end of October. Seriously, it has a price that cannot be beat, specs that rival the best android phones on the market, will be the first device with Android 4.4 and comes with stock android!

But that is still your opinion though, it doesn't mean someone else would agree.

People who I find ridiculous are though who bash every other operating system for no reason like the following people in this thread. You may dislike it but without even saying why is stupid. You know some of the things you watch, play and/or do may of been created on that system.

As far as apps go (since that is the biggest thing people pick at with it) Windows Phone 8 isn't really bad in that aspect. There are many alternatives to "official" apps that are just as good or better than thie counterparts on other devices. As far the OS itself it's very fast and fluid, is very user friendly and all around just great. I've had/used each of these 3 mobile platforms (and BlackBerry) and in my opinion WP8 is pretty awesome.

Android is based off of the Linux kernel just like every other Linux distro, so does that mean it's not meant for the general public? o_o

If you're some one who enjoys to have a variety of apps, then I think apple would be better for you. However, if you're a person who just wants a really cool interface and functionality, etc., android would be far better I think. As for windows, I think we should give it a few more years, and then it'll reach it's peak in phones.

I liked bing once I realized I could win stuff (apparently only works if you live in USA though) lol. I said screw google, that doesn't give me free stuff XD

@OT Windows all the way. It's what I'm used to, although it feels like they are pushing new OS out too often.

I don't love Linux. But just putting it out there that it is good. But for this Windows all the way. Android seems to be crappy for me now. Too poor to buy apple. PC-gaming takes all my money.

Windows for PCs.
Android for phones.
Apple for eating.

I do like andriod, but as of now apple makes about 5 million a day from the apple store, while the google play store is makes 1 million a day. technically, it would be smarter to develop an app on ios than on andriod because the higher change to make money. then if the games are popular enough they move to andriod.

Anyone who say one operating is better is completely bias.

All operating system are good in its own right. It is just up to you to decide which one suits your needs the most.

I have a feeling this thread was started to bring out the bias people out of their shell
