Privileged students complaining they get to much homework
So a bunch of privileged, sjw, ivy league students are complaining they are getting to much homework which is deterring their well being due to their "muh activims" they are working on. http://www.browndailyherald.com/2016/02/18/schoolwork-advocacy-place-strain-on-student-activists/
Looks like you don't need brains to attend ivy league schools anymore.

Average Tumblr University graduates.
@masinko like I said, (or implied) I'm a freshman. I'm majoring in English and getting my teaching license so I can teach high school.
Yeah, okay, blah blah blah, English major is so easy. But like I said, I'm still taking core classes like everyone else. And they talk about having like 3 hours or more of homework almost every day.
Mmm.. Homework wasn't bad. I remember just really hating forced group projects.
Like pls i'd rather do the crap by myself and stay home. Fudge carrying. D<
@fradddd: If you don't mind me asking, what is your major? 3 semesters ago, I took my capstone software programming course, hardware programming course, and a numerical methods course. Mind you, some of these programming assignments and projects were made to take around 12~36 hours to complete and given bi-weekly from each of those programming courses. And studying for the numerical methods course took maybe around 8 hours a week.
thts a fkn fact i hear tht
well, it's brown and honestly that school isnt even HYPSM so they're irrelevant
Link didn't work for me but wtf do people expect when they apply to some of the most prestigious schools in the US... -__-
but they cant be wrong cuz they're always right
@sezbeth most people I know (freshmen) are taking 80% core classes and they still have way more homework than I do...or at least they take a long-ass time to do it.
Since when did universities start mandating homework? I thought that was just a HS or pre-HS thing. You aren't forced to do homework in university.
I almost thought the news story was satire. I guess reality is a joke now.
@fradddd: The amount of coursework largely depends on two things:
1)Your major; as much as people tend to avoid this, some majors are, in fact, far more rigorous than others. Having both studied and taught different subjects, I can attest to this notion.
2)How long you've actually been in college; the first two years, though sometimes difficult due to adjustments, aren't typically all that heavy on coursework in general. This is because most of your classes are usually university cores and other introductory courses (with the exception of students who test out of introductory courses and begin their more advanced courses earlier). Beyond the first two years or so, you really start diving into your major which, again depending on your major, can be the beginning of a real eye-opener for some students.
@fradddd: lucky you... I wish I could get everything done in an hour a day... haha
How the hell am I the ONLY ONE in college who doesn't need to spend multiple hours on homework a day?
Monday night: 1 hour of homework
Tuesday night: 1.5 hours of homework, then went to Megadeth concert
Wednesday night: 30 minutes of homework
Thursday night: 10 minutes of homework, 30 minutes of talking with project partner
And that was a LOT of homework for me in a week.
I find it odd how both sides of the political spectrum toss that word "privilege" around like it's the next internet meme.
T>working 12hrs for paid college and doing a lot of hw
I always hated homework. Got to school for hours only to go back home to do homework for hours...
I would support.
Even 1 piece of homework is too much for me.
You never needed brains, just money lol.
