Why is he saying cms is better? They have that stupid 3hour thing then xp gain decreases.

I used to think Nexon fanboys were masochistic, but now I understand the truth.

Play anything else, even another Nexon game. In Dragon Nest, when the servers are shut down unexpectedly, players get EXP events and an apology from the development team; in Maplestory, sometimes there isn't even an announcenemt. Maplers are just like "oh, we should just be glad the servers are back up, you guys... ;-; " And you know the karma scissors in maplestory? Dragon Nest has a free version of those that drop from bosses -- bosses anyone can kill. And you know how you have to spend real money to open up a shop, in maplestory? DN has an auction house that works almost exactly like the MTS, except there's no tax system designed to make the place unusable. Check the maplestory homepage. It's saturated in ads, telling you to buy garbage from the cash shop. Check the dragon nest homepage, and it's full of pictures displaying new content, with one or two cash shop advertisements at most. And the best part? For all the perks DN players get, MAPLESTORY is Nexon's biggest game. Dragon Nest is negligible in comparison. You'd think Dragon Nest was the more important game, from the way DN players are treated like kings in comparison.

Face it. Nexon is squeezing maple for every ounce they can get before the cow finally keels over. Maplers are getting played, and the only reason they're content to let it slide is because most of them haven't played anything better. You guys deserve so much more from this game, for all the support you've given it over the years to make it what it is today, but you'll never get it because most of you guys are still thinking like this:

KMS doesn't have any world tour, all got removed in BB. Kms doesn't necessarily have "more stuff". They have stuff GMS don't have of course but they don't have NLC, cwkpq, apq, Malaysia, Singapore, zipangu etc.

With the red leaf event only Tws and GMS has it. For familiars only jms & GMS has it.

Every version has different things. Some things cannot be copied because of deals done with certain other companies.

GMS is getting exclusive content almost every big patch now.
Monster cards are a good thing for NA players, because it's more of an MMO thing down here. It's just that Maple lacks in its traditional form...

Be sure that many of the things that we don't get are exclusive to the other servers, and aren't made for countries in GMS.

There are more to this that we probably don't understand. I end my point here.

You have to realize that Nexon is a company and their whole goal is to make money...

I took the money I would have spent on Maple and spent it on a computer that can run 70+ instances of maple without lag. That's with the emulation software.

I see. That is a very reasonable explanation for the missing features in Kms.
I shall withdraw myself from this debate.
It is after all my opinion against yours and I do think GMS deserves my money. In all honesty, the World Tours are mostly empty. I dont see why we need more World Tours at all.

World tour was removed from KMS because it was terrible, KMS has been developing its own mini dungeons that are based off some of the world tour places, we have fantasy theme park albeit nerfed, but it is a theme dungeon.

I had a look at strategy wiki about maplestory and we are not missing much. The only region missing a huge % of maps and events is Europe.
Dont forget the fact that Gms tends to modify things. e.g, Neo Tokyo = Neo City, Cherry Blossom Castle = Ninja Castle.

Are they getting payed enough? Well, yes and no, but the problem isn't with their paychecks, it's with the lack of staff and comparatively small resource and development team allocated to GMS. JMS and KMS have very large development teams, which makes sense since there are more players in those regions to draw revenue from to fund it. On a moderately related note, we do periodically get exclusive content, but for some reason or another, the community criticizes it to the point of condemnation and it ends up going under... Visitors... Revamped NLC... Old Maple... Capture the Flag... Those things come to mind.

The people spending "thousands" on the game [i]are[/i] getting something back. They get the satisfaction of having overwhelmingly and excessively high damage output, or needlessly extravagant glamour. Seems like a pretty fine trade-off for a completely optional purchase.
