Korean people have white names? O.o
Majority of the korean people I know have some white first names. I'm talking about the uncommon white first names. Harrison,Jackson,Logan etc etc. It gets annoying, like your from Korea and how did ur parents come up with this name.

my sibling says koreans really want to embrace white culture
I for one completely support foreign people giving their children America or otherwise white names.
I'm one of those Asian kids who got stuck with a foreign name and I have to completely butcher it so that people can pronounce it, meanwhile my sister got Kimberly and her life is infinitely easier.
Honestly, I get that Koreans would give their children American names. If they plan to move to America, it's easier for others to say his/her name, instead of butchering it every moment. But since Koreans don't speak a lot of English, they have to come up with names using their extremely limited vocabulary. Therefore, you get common names like John, Ben, Logan, Tony, etc.
Does it really matter.
Don't forget Kim.
Just like John Cho/Harold Lee.
no biggie dude
this cracked me up, I agree though, I'd feel weird being called by a name that's not "natural" to me.
oh my god...
please dont tell me you're serious
It's called choosing a name randomly from a list, duh
OT: "I kind of find it annoying when most of the white people I know have really basic names like Ben, Alex, John, Bob. Like you're from America, why not choose a more uncommon or complicated name?"
But seriously, you're kinda stupid for judging a parents' ability to choose their child's name. Even if they're Korean, they aren't stupid and ignorant like some people...
