Who else played MegaMan?
I remember when I was a kid I was obsessed with megaman. I played all of the megaman and megaman x games.
I have so many good memories of it.It also got me fascinated about computers and led me to learn programming and later on software engineering.
Everything was perfect, the storyline was cool (robots and stuff ), the music, the gameplay, etc..
Sigh.. So much nostalgia.
It's a shame there aren't games like this anymore.
Instead all I see are mainly 3D shooting or fantasy games that look all the same.
But who knows maybe I'm out of touch, if you know any recent games like megaman or maybe not recent, feel free to share.

I never hear anyone talk about Mega Man II on GameBoy, but it was a blast. It was an amalgam of Mega Man 2 and 3 on NES.

You heretic! How can a Megaman that is a cyber imitation of the Original be superior to the supreme X who has far better capabilities than the Original? Infidel! I declare a Mega-sade against your opinion!

X4-X6[/quote]
What about X7? It was obviously the best of the series.
I prefer jump and shoot man tbh
Megaman Legends was probably my favorite because it was so different in comparison to the older Megaman games which I also played.
Megaman Zero was so much fun
The Blue/White, sidescroller-type ones were great, too!
Megaman zero all the way.
Megaman is still one of my favorite videogame franchise. My first Megaman game was Megaman 3 for the nes, a freaking difficult game for a 10 year old me back then. During my vacation in China I borrowed a gameboy game from my cousin, and it had Megaman 1 till 5 on it. Played that game till my batteries died. Then I got to know that the innocent child looking Megaman had a way cooler and badass version know as Megaman X. I was dieing to play a X serie game. I saved my money and bought Megaman Xtreme for 20,-. My favorite Megaman game is Megaman Battle Network for the GBA. I bought this game for 10,-. Was expecting a good game, but it was way better than that I've imaged. The very first moment that I had my first boss fight against Fireman and the badass soundtrack kicked in I got goosebumps all over my body. Playing Battle Network was an amazing and epic experience. I also played Megaman Zero 1 - 4, X1 - 6 and ZX (advent).
Never did go through Legends or Exe, but I did a large run through of X1-X5 awhile back, downloading all the emulators and such.
Went through ZX and ZXAdvent on the DS, and the 4 Zero games. Rip sequels.
Hell, rip entire series.

Some games that gave a feel like when I played megaman were
Shovel Knight
Explodemon
Gun Clive
Mega ZXAdvent
Was so fun the 2d scroller omg so fun
I grew up playing the Battle Network Series. I own all of them except the 1st one (Own Operation Shooting Star thou). I also own all the Starforce game as well. As for best 2d Megaman platformer....Megaman X hands down.
The guys from IGN that formed Kinda Funny always talk about Mega Man and how great it was, etc. I listen to all their shows, lol

Agree. Although the original megaman series was pretty good as well, but not as much as x.
Megaman X series is the master series, the other series are just peasants compared to the glorious X series.
My BasilID says it all.
The closest thing you are getting to Megaman and Megaman X games are the following:
Azure Striker Gunvolt
Mighty No. 9
The above games involve the creator of Mega Man.
I only played starforce, battle network, and zero. Fun games tho
