True test of Old School Maplers
You have to be real real REALLY old school.
To remember the trick where you could climb up that rope onto the platform in henesy training grounds.
Without being sent to the next map, as long as you had some pet milk saved on a key and spammed it as you climbed up.
Only 1 out of 100 maplers should/can claim to remember this far.
@Edit: So It turns out my first quest completed was in 2007. So I'm not as old skool as I thought.
All the old quests completed are under the Before-tktktk tab. I think It was mai's training.
And it was pet food and henesy hunting grounds sorry. My mistake. Also I remember when they added the extra map at the end and I found my so called parents.

The Blizzard Forbidden Earrings!
OT: I remember the old cursor. It was weird, a football shaped thingy with a jewel in the middle.

OHH SNAP I REMEBER THAT! I COULD NEVER DO IT! no fair xD
I remember no NLC, and Ant Tunnel was the place to be. Specially for Clerics <3
Remember the portal in Sleepywood that took you to Z-Lupins and if you went further to Golems? Fun times.
But you guys remember when you had to roll for stats.
Mages either had to have a miserable Maple Island or add Str into their build.
Thieves also had it kinda bad too.
Oldest character i still have that i haven't deleted. Though i had a archer when i started playing when windia released...

hold pet food while going up xD
I love how all the low level players are claiming they are old players.
It's not THAT old, that was perhaps maybe 2 or so years ago.
At windraiders too! Spamming pots saved me so much aggravation lol.
For Windraiders, you could just spam booster. But at Typhons, when you hit the bottom, you had to walk to the hole, so you had to use something that would allow you to spam it while walking, hence potions
Idk if this is on subject, but do any old Berans remember when ZDeadlySlnZ got banned? Everyone cheered that day lol..
You don't have to be old school to know that...
And at orbis ship in the middle of the ladder, I remember sitting in the middle feeling like a badass while everyone else fell down.
Orbis boat, to walk across the bottom, just held down the hotkey for pet food. Yes, I remember this.
Ya haha, I thought hackers were the only people that got up there...I miss the green mushrooms on top, orange mush under it, slimed under that, then snails. Best ever. And outside the place every1 would hang that tree hut
i remem that z good times
I am the 1 in 100.
-If you never went through maple factory, and had the green suit on
I don't get it, the factory isn't that old...
Ha ha, how nostalgic. i can still remember it. i used to use pet food on my pet while climbing the rope in henesys hunting ground. my friend told me about it and did it himself. when i saw it i instantly asked him how to do it because in those days you would be grinding for so long you need something else to do.
>notice an ingenious man dropping money, followed by dozens of newbies

;_;
this is exactly what i did too lmaooooo
I think the best example of being a veteran mapler is knowing what the old GM sign looked like.
I remember that it wasn't that old. Remember in henesys where you sit on the side of the ledge with your pet and it would just keep falling?
i can still do that sometimes in other maps lol.
but yeah, it made me lag back then >.<
@beastlymofo: Clearly im joking.
@AbsurdPanda: Yes, because it is possible for 2 people to get to 200 first.
@beastlymofo: I'm pretty sure they were being sarcastic, lol.
I would use Red Potions to go up their instead of going to Henesys Hunting Ground II to watch noobs beg me to tell them how I went up there!
What happened to Tiger
Everyone knows fangblade but not tiger T-T
He is lvl 200
You were a boss if you weren't a mage or sin and you could get on top of that sign near the Free Market in Henesys
wasnt that old
i remember hh1 was crowded up there with people who were the "pros"
same with at hene market
where people 70+ would get on their pigs and jump for the items people dropped
(even though they could never reach them)
Night lords were the only ones who could reach an item (with the 2nd jump)
and then once pirates came out, they killed it all
I remember that it wasn't that old. Remember in henesys where you sit on the side of the ledge with your pet and it would just keep falling?
Doesn't that work anymore?=o
Yup I knew that. Noobs were calling me a hacker or asking how I did it
Lol I remember this. How about remembering when you could teleport down the lowest level of Kerning? And you could move below the city
Just spam red pots and watch the 'pros' kill green mushrooms. But back then the res was only 800 x 600 so you couldn't see em from up top...but meh.
I remember that, and when there was no 4th job, 99k DMG cap (even though that's not too old), aqua road was closed off, ludi didn't exist yet, there was no pirate, heck even when there were no thieves.
OLD old school mapler. Idrc tho.
I remember this, but honestly, who cares about being "an old school mapler". Yes I played "back in the day" but.. I really don't care x.x

I remember when there was no FM, and all the trading/spamming for sales went on in Perion.
Classic Maple Island quests completed on March 21, 2006. How old school I am?
Im not sure if Nexon still did this but, i remember the slimes in the slime tree would be coloured in red and green to celebrate Christmas ^ - ^
@chainedwind: I would like to congratulate you on being one of the knowledgeable basilers that actually knew old maple.
Minus all the goons that think they know.
@chainedwind: Thank you for knowing the nameeee, I liked the old name better anyways.
Not a lot of people really know beta.... or old maple...
COME BACK LOXIE
haha I loved that glitch xP
dont remember how this one went but to get up the rope completely without activating the portal to the next map was like something where you needed to spam pet pots/normal pots while going up
other then bet no one remembers how the meso explosion hack went... something capable of max dmg...
The true test is the invisible rope in the hunting grounds .
Oh I do, I still don't like the class and I'm probably harsher and quicker to judge any sins/herms/NLs
hear hear
When I saw that phantom was a theif. I was like whyy? You have jerk stats T.T
The same was for any teleporting ladder.. such as the ladder on the boat from victoria to orbis... used to kill so many people by doing it when crogs were there
what about the orbis box glitch when orbis first came out? when like hundreds of mesos spewed from those little brown boxes everywhere lol. Back then 100k was considered rich
Just googled, no pics of that glitch
Lol I did that with the stairs in Eos tower
