Was wondering how to get to 220k clean without funding ?
Hayatos have a passive buff that increases damage based on defense, and at defense cap it gives a total of 49% increased damage. Though apparently it only applies to max range, so my range is actually 117k ~ 220k.
Combine that with level 30 Empress Blessing, a full set of 70% spell-traced CRA gear, 3-piece Reinforced gollux, Kanna, DA and Xenon link skills, a total of 140 Star Force and 27% STR on my gear combined (using cubes I got from bossing and reward shop) and that brings me to around 200k range. I'm missing some small stuff, but that figure shouldn't be too far off.
I've spent 150mil buying my equips, another 100mil on Star Force (I think), and 45-70mil buying my Mastery Books. And I guess count another 100-150mil for the occasional impulse spending, like that 50% Epic Potential Scroll I decided to one day. Don't remember if it passed. I'm not funded; I managed all that by selling Sunset Dews and Superior Item Crystals from daily bossing and half-assing events at the time. I've never done any serious merching.
To put it in perspective, I'm unfunded with 220k range clean and it takes me 10 minutes to solo CZak.
I'm content with where I am, but I have a feeling that's below the standard of what's expected these days. Hayatos aren't really known for their bossing capabilities. I think Hayatos are good enough to hold their own, but there are better options available if bossing is your focus.

@Repentant: Ah, true. Well I'm mainly looking for a class that is diverse (using multiple skills to play). It kinda makes the game a bit more fun. Hayato's seem pretty diverse, but it seems like their bossing capabilities are mediocre
No doubt about it, but from my experience Hayatos can be really fun when fighting mobile bosses. Hayatos use all their skills from 1st job-4th job (I currently have 11 skills on keybind). They're all important and a lot of the fun comes from figuring out the right skill to use at the right time.
Even if it takes forever to kill a boss, using my skills to dodge attacks and make narrow escapes can be really exciting gameplay. It's satisfying when I slide away from Hilla's tomb explosion attack with Surging Blade in the nick of time, or zoom behind Magnus with Dankuusen as he rushes towards me; it's like I'm dancing with death. The sheer amount of style points make up for Hayato's lack of damage, in my opinion. Overall if I had to choose between, say, a NW who hits cap and my Hayato in its current gear, I would choose my Hayato in a heartbeat. I feel like no other class can match the experience Hayato gives me--not even Zero.
Though yeah, the lack of damage can understandably be a turn off for some (or most) people. If you want skill diversity and damage, then I'd recommend looking at Zero or Thunder Breaker.
F/P. My F/P was my first real main character (and the character that my Basil ID is named after) and my 2nd lvl 200. Admittedly, between the time BB hit (and we lost Meteor spam) and the time F/Ps got revamped and got Mist Eruption added in, we weren't the best class. BB nerfed Poison Myst's high-level training capabilities and removed the ability to spam Meteor, leaving us as this weird boring class. Once we got Mist Eruption though, our play focused around stacking DoTs for the maximum damage (at least until you start 1hitting things with Paralyze). I love that playstyle and it's something that other classes don't really have. My F/P's currently my secondary main, with my main character being my Cannoneer. I love my Cannoneer but the class doesn't have the nostalgia element that F/Ps have for me. (Wow I start to ramble more than usual at 4:30AM)

F/P. Initially, I loved the concept of combining these two elements and (once I figured out how to properly use DoT), loved the style of using skills from even 2nd job.

Shade, because it was the first character I put enough effort into getting to level 200 in 9 years. It also has an interesting storyline, and a cool concept. Xenons are also cool. I like their high mobility and their story.
Hayato is the only class I enjoy. Variety, mobility, quick skills, 100% crit, 100% status resist, i-frames, good survivability - they have nearly everything...
...except damage. It's like they made a deal with the devil or something.
So Hayato's are not good bossers unfunded? Even with link skills?
Thunder Breaker because the concept of chaining skills is bad the f a. I just wish Nexon made all the skills more practical once you hit 4th job like.. give a big boost to all your 1-3rd job skills so you can switch up the variety in your attack patterns instead of just spamming Typhoon+Shark Sweep..
Zero. Great storyline with voice acting, strong even unfunded, rarely needs to use pots, doesn't need mp pots, fun skills for mobbing AND bossing well, and double the characters to dress up for my fashion needs. <3

Umm, I'm pretty sure Battle Mages aren't extinct.. They're actually one of the more common classes I see.
OT: Beast Tamer because I really like Chase's design, how you have ears and a tail, how they're mages, how they use scepters, how we master animals, and how we're a pretty rare class (well not too much right now anyway but the hype will die down).
