Getting fatter for sitting and playing too much Maplestory

Sitting here playing maple all summer costs me to gain some (alot of) weight I have belly now.

You guys have any trick for losing weight ? I stopped playing Maplestory and trying to eat more vegetable but I know that won't be enough.

(Any activity outside the house won't work because "Daddy's girl" that's why )
^spreading out meals and burning more calories is true to an extent, you do burn "more calories" because the body does break down the food and metabolize but the amount is so negligible that it doesn't make a significant difference.
It does in the long run. Sure, let's say if spreading out meals only burns 100 extra calories in a day, then that's 700 extra calories per week; 2800 calories in a month. 33,600 calories in a year. And that's only from simply spreading out her meals. If you count in daily exercises as well, she'll burn an insane amount in just a few days.

Anyways, it doesn't matter what you eat as long as you watch strictly just the calories. With that being said, you can eat just junk food, although not advised, and still lose weight as long as you eat less calories than you burn throughout the day. And when you eat the meal/foods doesn't matter either, you can eat all your food 30min before bed and you will get the same results as if you spread it out. If you go into weight lifting and all that, you would probably want a higher protein intake.

Anyways, just count calories and find out how much you burn with a calorie calculator online and use that just as a reference. You can get a 6 pack from just watching what you eat and not working out
Counting calorie intake will definitely help her lose weight, but if she wants to be healthy, then a change of diet MAY be needed. Spreading out your meals will keep your metabolism going throughout the day. And I don't she's going to want to go lifting. A lot of body builders believe that getting big and buff and eating protein is what makes them healthy and slim. However, this is I'm no way true. Lifting weights doesn't not get your body the essential vitamins and nutrients it needs. Not to mention the fact that lifting weights does not help you to lose fat around the belly. It only turns your arm fat to muscle.

As to WHEN you eat your meals,; if you mean to say that eating everything all at once in one meal a day will give the same results as eating separate meals a day, then you are highly mistaken. It's a false belief that ONLY counting calories will help you loses weight. If you eat once a day, then until you eat, your body metabolism will be at an all time low. And then when you finally eat, it'll spike the metabolism up, but then without any other food for the rest of the day, it will plummet back down. Spreading out your meals is suppose to keep your metabolism up every few hours by giving your body a source of energy. As your metabolism stays up through the day, your body will burn more calories on its own throughout the day. if you eat once a day, your metabolism will stay low, spikes up, then goes back down.

As to that last post you said, it's true that she can get a six pack by watching what she eats and not working out. However, EVERYONE is born with a six pic, albeit a very thin one. Most people have a hard time getting rid of the fat covering it however, and doing abdominal exercises will bring it out more (will not make your tummy slimmer though). You
Probably won't be able to see it though since fat will cover it up. Also, if she on,y watches what she eats and not exercise, then, as I said earlier, if she goes back to eating normally again, all the fat lost will come right back.

Eat less and exercise. Can't lose weight by only doing one. If you don't exercise and only change diet, then the moment you start eating normally again, you'll gain all the weight back.
Go for a fifteen to twenty minute jog around the neighborhood or at a park. Do that as often as you can. Mostly when you have nothing to do and feel bored. Six times a week would be best (one day of rest). The reason you should jog is because it's the BEST exercise for getting rid of fat around the tummy area. Doing crunches and ab exercises and lifting weights will get you nowhere because they don't do anything for the belly. It will only strengthen the respective area. Your belly will still be there , even after doing a million sit ups. If you simply can't go jogging, then do an alternative form of cardiovascular exercises because cardio burns fat most effectively. For other cardio exercises, look elsewhere online since explaining how to do certain belly burning exercises is really hard without being there in person.

As for diet, I'm not going to go into detail since you don't seem to need to lose a whole lot of weight. Spread out your meals to keep your metabolism up (it's what actively burns fat in your body while doing nothing. Higher it is, the more fat you burn) and eat three meals (or six small meals) daily. Before each meal, drink a whole cup of water. About half way through, drink another cup. When finished, drink a third cup. This will (temporariy) fill you up more and you eat less. This is what I do to avoid eating too much when on vacation. This isn't my actual diet however. If you want to permanently lose weight, you'll have to eat less then your usual amount. If you want to be healthy though, then that's another story altogether (being skinny doesn't equate healthiness).. Also avoid snacking on junk food. If you really must have a snack, substitute it with a small fruit. Obviously, take out ALL sugared drinks and stay away from "diet" drinks (diet coke) .

Avoid starving yourself because than lowers metabolism and deteriorates your muscle. Basically means you lose muscle rather than fat, and you'll look rounder and become physically weak.

Good luck!
I'm currently majoring in Nutrition and plan on becoming a dietician. I've personally lost 60 pounds!

Edit: if you're interested in eating healthier foods, message me. The ordinary American diet is EXTREMLEY unhealthy and I can always provide you with healthier choices that still taste great.

Please please PLEASE IGNORE BryanJohnny's Post. All three methods are unhealthy and NOT recommended, ESPECIALLY the third method. I don't know if he is trolling or not, but starving is NEVER EVER EVER a good method to lose weight. Starving your body will only put it into survival mode; your body will start to break down muscle and use that as food instead of fat. It'll put fat as a reserve, and will completely break down your muscles. This will lead is weight loss, but not I'm the sense that you want. You'll start losing muscle, but all of your fat will still be there so you will still be as fat as ever. Not only that , but the moment you start eating again, your body will immediately go back to the way it was before (without the muscle that was lost) and your weight will jump back to before.

Eating baby food is probably the best method of the three he mentioned, and even that one is not that great. And Dried seaweed contains an insane amount of sodium the more you eat it, which can lead to failed kidneys in the long run.

I go on 2 different diets every year. I also use 2 other techniques every year.

If you like dried seaweed (The one they use in sushi) - This one might be good for you. Go to asian supermarkets and buy dried seaweed. I buy the spicy ones that are individually wrapped. Just snack on it when you're bored or add it to your food. (Eat it with rice. It's yummy!). You will lose 1-4 lbs a week, but it adds up. Besides this, you can continue eating regularly. The seaweed absorbs up to 70% of the fat you eat, instead of your body absorbing it.

If you like applesauce, or anything in that consistancy - GOO DIET! (Baby food.) It's basically a baby food diet. Alot of Celebs use this, and I use it when I get tired of eating different foods. You basically just eat baby food. It sounds gross, but you'll get used to it. This works alot faster than starving yourself. I usually just replace snacks with it. For example, Instead of eating sugary cereals in the morning, I eat the baby food cereal. The baby snack puffs are good too!

Another alternative, which is not dieting but really starving- Hollywood miracle diet. Walmart sells then for 12-15$. You lose up to 10lbs in 2 days. It's a dirnk you mix with water, and basically eat NOTHING for 2 days. The drink makes you not hungry, but you will have to drink alot of water. I usually cheat and end up snacking a little and lose about 5-7 LBS. You WILL gain back the weight easily if you do not exercise or change your diet, but it's good if you have an event.

Another way- GET a job. I use to work in a Jewlery store at the mall (Fix, resize, and sell gold/silver). I was constantly busy, so I ate only 2 meals, instead of three a day. I eat less for breakfast because I tend to not eat alot, and I work all day, eat right after work, and go home, shower and sleep.

I do use all of these things, and it works. I do not change my diet completely. I go on these "diets" on and off every month or so. I'm 19 years old and a male, and I don't exercise or eat "healthy", and trust me, it works.

I think if you're under 13 you aren't legally able to surf the interwebs without a parent's consent anyways.

Diet is probably the most important part to losing weight just avoid any junk foods/soda's etc and learn to read labels to see how much sugar and fat is in the product, if they are high you should probably stay away from them. You also need to add cardio alongside a healthy diet to help optimize your weight loss.

@StewieFg411: Maybe it just my habit of eating junk food then.

My parent afraid that if I go outside, I will get kidnap.

@mantris561: no...

@zippinbolts: Asian status,
"If you go outside, you will meet bad kids!"
"If you go outside, you will get kidnap!"
"If you go outside, you will get molested!"
It happens but.... I dont know, the percentages is really low. Still my dad won't understand
@JadethePenguin ptfffffff, good point, but my grandma is always home though.

You can eat as much junk food as you want, just work it off. Everytime I eat a bag of chips or a can of pop= 900 reps.

If you have been playing MS too much, wouldn't that mean you would spend less time eating, and therefore not be fat, just not fit?
