how to cope with school frustration?
So lately calculus has been giving me trouble and sometimes i feel like life is just too frustrating to get through. What are some ways to calm down? =/ because at this rate, i'm trying my best to review, do hw, and even test reviews to practice for my test tomorrow. Sorry if my thread seems jumbled, my head isn't clear tonight because of the sheer frustration of understanding the multiple derivative rules.

Step 1: Find a very grind-heavy video game. I used Dissidia Duodecim.
Step 2: Set a timer to go off every 5 minutes. Spend five minutes working, then five minutes playing video game, repeat.
Eventually, you'll start feeling like the video game is a boring chore and you're looking forward to getting back to work. It's weird.
Go box that oughta let the emotions out
Thanks for all of your suggestions! I will definitely try harder to seek help from other people. It's just been a rough ride with calculus and it sometimes makes me want to rip my heart out as well. So thank you to those who understand. Feel free to keep commenting as well. I am still interested in ways that other people manage to wade themselves through calculus.
Go to your TA's office hours. If you ever need help in math, it's really good to find help.
Try a study group? that always turns out to be a good thing. also maybe listen to so music to cool you down?
Go out and get some fresh air before resuming studies.

Hopefully that link works ^__^
holy crap i'm in that exact same situation as you at this minute O_O
1.) Do you have any buddies/friends in Calc? I have a study buddy with me all the time. 2.) Eff that negative attitude of yours. Create some positive imagery!
masterbate. in all honesty that's like a free pain killer.
@NotCreamy: lol its a joke
Calculus is your friend <3
Stroke your math homework and kiss your math textbook. Calculus takes a lot of practice, so just do some practice problems from your textbook.
Good ol' high school.
I hated calculus as well, and it made me rip my heart out a couple of times, but you only have a month and a half before ap tests. After that, you'll be free from the wrath of AP classes :> Keep strong :O
Burn your textbook, and smash your calculator. That'll teach that calculus.
Sell if you're not feeling wasteful.
I find that writing lists of the things I need to do helps me calm down. I always feel like I need to do a million things at the same time, but it usually ends up being like 8 things a week (homework, exams and work). it's easier to prioritize that way
just remember one day you'll die
that always cheers me up
Reality doesn't change on you, whether or not you feel frustrated. You can rage, scream, feel crappy however long you want, but after you're done, you're still going to have a test to study for. Accept this, and hit the books with the intent to understand what you're looking at. If you don't do well on this test, it's something that you'll have to deal with, but at least you'll have a better understanding of calculus than you did before. The test doesn't matter. Your frustrations don't matter.
Eat the homework and then blame it on the dog.
1. Take a chicken
2. Place chicken in blender
3. Drink chicken
4. Get sick
5. Miss calculus
6. Problem solved
EDIT: Make sure it's a LIVE chicken. Frozen chickens just taste bad unless you get the beak. Juicy and succulent
yeah, i'm not liking calc. either. But you know, since i'm paying for my classes, I can't fail the class. So i have something to lose if i fail.
