Just got a Nintendo 3ds
Which games should I get for it? I'm already looking at Fire Emblem: Awakening, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Pokemon X/Y (to continue with the generations), and I plan on getting Omega Ruby when it's released. Considering getting the Super Smash Bros game when it's released but not sure how it would play on a DS...

DO NOT GET ANIMAL CROSSING
1. You will get addicted
2. The game literally requires you to play everyday
3. I lost my 3DS just as my town was getting really pretty so when I found it my entire town will be a mess and my time will be wasted
You can never go wrong with FE:A. I was skeptical of it as a hardcore fan but for the most part it lives up to the hype, and is a good 10-25 hours of gameplay depending on how good you are. Pokemon X/Y are definitely a good choice, the gen 3 remakes seem to be good looking, get those yeah. A game I really recommend if you're fine with difficulty is Shin Megami Tensei IV. It has a good plot, and it's kind of hard to get a grasp on the gameplay, but if you can get over the difficulty and some technical flaws its a great game.
since no one else has said it, i recommend luigi's mansion dark moon. i just love how luigi talks
since you have already listed fire emblem awakening, im going to say that its a good introduction game for the fire emblem series. you should definitely get super smash bros. other than that, any game that has been listed in this thread are good choices to buy.
If you have any interest in a Harvest Moon game with dungeon crawling, look into Rune Factory 4.
Legend of Zelda: Link Between Two World
Fantasy Life. This is getting released in October, definitely check it out
Luigi's Mansion 2
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Super Mario 3D Land
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Bravely Default
If you're a fan of Professor Layton, get Miracle Mask & Azran Legacy
I have a 3DS but never play it even tho it's literally right on my desk not even an arms length away.
OT: Heard that Fire Emblem, Bravely Default, Zelda Link Between Worlds (and of course Pokemon) are pretty good games. I'd say that the games you've been looking at are pretty good.
Sm4sh for sure, and just got kirby triple deluxe and yoshi's new island, both incredibly fun. Also, starfox64 3D
I think you should get all the games you're already looking at I enjoyed the 3DS OoT and Pokemon X, and while I can't speak for FE:A, my friends love it.
On top of those, I would recommend Animal Crossing (but just be warned that if you quit you might never want to go back because it consumes your life and your precious villagers may move away). I also personally like Theatrhythm because all the chars are cute @u@ and FF music is great
If you want an old school JRPG, I'd go with Bravely Default. Heard SMT IV was good as well.
smash bros in october
NO OTHER GAMES MATTER
they had a demo of the new smash bros for 3ds and it actually wasn't bad at all, plus who doesn't want portable smash bros?
@AeroReborn: maybe
Personally thinking about getting Animal Crossing: New Leaf suggested by several people because I play Pokemon X to...farm berries and buy clothes Q___Q
it will be my first Animal Crossing so iuno for sure yet
I like SMT IV if you wanna log like 70 hours into beating a game.
Also +1 on the FE:A if you're on the fence about it
idk man. i bought one for christmas honestly have no games other than pokemon x. and i beat that so it's not really fun for me anymore. i'm going to get smash bros and the next pokemon. other than that i dont really know what to get lol. i definitely won't have enough patience for a zelda game. i got mario dream team for free with the 3ds, but i feel like it's more of a chore than actually fun to play it.
Are you me?
Be sure to get Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
It's honestly a second life. Too enjoyable.
Fire Emblem Awakening is my precious little baby and I love it and I have like 600 hours of gameplay in it and yeah get that. Bravely Default was fun though it was extremely repetitive and often tedious. The characters were just extremely loveable for some reason so I do recommend it. Obviously Pokemon X/Y is good to get and this fall Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. I'm also curious about the whole Smash Bros on 3DS but I honestly think it won't be too bad to adjust to. Besides, a portable Smash Bros seems nice. I guess there's Animal Crossing which I played like crazy last summer but it very quickly becomes a huge chore to play everyday to make sure your favorite villagers don't move out and all that stuff so I haven't played it since last September. Also Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate can be fun I guess but I found it kind of slow. I think it would only be fun if played with friends but it has no online play, so... Monster Hunter 4 has been released in Japan so we can expect that sometime and that sounds super fun since it'll have online multiplayer.
Get Bravely Default or Animal Crossing
I wasn't too impressed with Bravely Default (I know it's an unpopular opinion). It just felt repetitive.
Conception II
Yoshi's New Island
buy ds games, not only 3ds
Monster hunter!
Get Bravely Default or Animal Crossing
