I'm really impressed by Garo so far. Those visuals are just, damn. Love it.

I was a huge fan of psycho pass season one, but must say that I do not enjoy this one nearly as much as the original. Rip urobuchi.

Maybe it's the wavering absence of kougami and makishima.

Fate/Stay Hype (2014) - I've seen the prologue and first episode and I have to say ufotable has definitely delivered! F/SH alone can potentially hold up the entire anime season.

Psyco-Pass 2 - A potential #2 anime of the season, second after Fate/Stay Hype (2014).

Log Horizon 2 - It still looks low budget. I mean seriously, they're re-using the same show OP song from season 1.

Cross Ange - I heard a lot of bad stuff about this anime so I ended watching the first episode. Definitely wasn't as bad as people were making it out to be. However, I'm just not a fan of blatant fanservice and ripping off designs from older anime shows. Dropped.

And so I'm following 3, maybe really only 2 anime shows this season. No time to watch all the crap that's airing.
the plot where only women are born w weird anti-magic DNA and exiled to army-prison-island to fight D.R.A.G.O.N.S. in revealing outfits? the plot where the main character keeps getting sexually assaulted but it's either played for laughs or to be sexy? the plot full of excuses for nudity (like why was a shower scene necessary? why did mc need to be kicked out into a hallway naked?)? the plot where the new emperor strokes his unconscious sister's lips as he talks about rebuilding the royal bloodline? the plot whose only significant non-sexual aspect is everybody can do lame/non-specific magic and people who can't are irrationally hated? this all in the show that opened with gratuitous pans over mc's body in a revealing robotsuit, and followed by an OP with more nudity.

i mean come on. i dunno why you like other shows less than Cross Ange, but nothing this season is as egregiously offensive and exploitative of women. even 7 Sins' needless boob fondling and Vanadis' nudity/boob shots aren't this bad. like how is anything about this show acceptable enough to overwrite that episode 1 ended with the main character sobbing on the floor, bleeding from her hind on the shreds of her clothing?
They're keepers:
Psycho Pass 2- I'll keep watching it cause I loved the original. All aboard the hype train choo choo
Parasyte- First episode already got me hooked
3 episode rule:
Rage of Bahumat- The animation is cool, Prince-y guy reminds me of Space Dandy way to much. Not too hooked by fantasy genre although Demon Girl is interesting. I'll give it another 2 episodes
World Trigger- Feels like a generic Shonen. Have heard good things about the manga though.
Terraformers- Episode 2 STILL NOT ON MARS YET. Questionable logic by planing especially with events that unfolded with the second episode. Fight scenes were less censored and I actually understood what was happening in them
Have yet to watch:
Fate Stay Night: I've seen the original. Ceebs watching through 8~ episodes of HD before stuff changes
G Reco: Avid Gundam fan but recent titles have yet to attract my attention until this one. When I have free time to commit

I really liked the OST they used in Trinity Seven. It's the song used in this PV also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D_JHb5EF3I

Seven Deadly Sins is pretty fun
Ookami Shoujo still has the best OP so far (prove me wrong tmr shigatsu wa kimi no uso)
Finally watched Terra formars, it's pretty awful

Still waiting on a few good ones (mostly Psycho-Pass and Parasyte) to air but other than those...

The good:
Amagi Brilliant Park
Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis
Log Horizon 2nd Season
Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road
FS/N: UBW

The weird (good and bad):
Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo
Garo: Honoo no Kokuin
Grisaia no Kajitsu
Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji

The meh (aka boring, but won't drop yet):
Madan no Ou to Vanadis
Trinity Seven
World Trigger

The bad:
Terra Formars (another adaptation getting butchered... *sigh*)
Denki-Gai no Honya-san

World Trigger: Is at the level Akame no Kill. It can easily get popular but isn't all that good.
Akatsuki no Yona: It could either be a Katanagatari or a Hakuouki (either really good or really bad)
Log Horizon 2: About the same as the first, it needs more time
Nanatsu no Taizai: It already has difference from the manga. According to @Plenair: the manga was decent so I expect good things.
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji: our decent shojo of the season.

@Amuro: I suppose UC is a looming beast compared to the offshoot stuff like 00 or NotGundam shows. I'm beginning to feel like UC really doesn't need to be as prolific as it is, especially with shows like G Gundam and Turn A being so good via a total avoidance of UC narratives.
Mostly skip UC movies. The 0079 ones are okay if you don't mind some truncation but the later Zeta movies are a bad retcon of the story. Actually the Core UC probably works best as 0079 Movies -> Zeta* -> 0080* -> Double Zeta -> 08th MS Team -> end.

*indicates a gem of the UC series

OT: I just watched Bahamut today and it made me so giddy, like how I'd normally feel for new JoJo's. The production values are amazing, male leads are highly characterized and enjoyable, and the card game aspects are subtle while contributing to worldbuilding.
@Amuro: i don't think Buddy Complex was particularly bad (didn't finish a 3 ep test). it's more that there's so much good Gundam out that that having a Sunrise Off-Brand GundamTM be one of your favorites is wild to me.
Buddy Complex being an off-brand made it accessible. With Universal Century Gundam in particular, I figured I'd just watch it in production order. After watching the first episode of 0079 (and finally seeing who the original anime Amuro was), I learned there was a movie trilogy. Then my indecisiveness kicked in and it's still on hiatus. ;p

Aside from that, I chalk it up to not minding any of the tropes and cliches that were present. I still feel like I've watched superior mechas between then and now, the first half of Gundam 00 and the bit of Unicorn especially. When I say Buddy Complex was entertaining, that's all I mean. Its coupling system was neat, its protagonists remained angst free from start to finish, and it seems more romance driven than most mechas. It managed to create an atmosphere that's neither too dark nor too optimistic, allowing for some really nice drama and scenes that are downright touching.

@Deciduous Yum, delicious Gundam tears.

I guess I just don't know enough about Gundam to understand the crimes Buddy Complex committed. The only things I noticed (aside from the opening being way too reminiscent of Seed) were the cave scene being similar to the situation with Cagali and Athrun, and the white uniforms looking like they belong to the Earth Alliance. For all its apparent faults to a mecha casual, I found it rather inoffensive. The characters were generic but mostly likeable, the combination of CG and hand-drawn mecha action was reasonably well done, and the story was nicely executed and even witty at times, with some well placed foreshadowing and hints for wanna-be detectives to piece together.

@xoqtprincessxo: for a modern anime series the pacing is pretty weird...but it's a huge directorial trademark of Tomino. the best example of it would be Overman King Gainer (which imo is actually harder to follow) while the worst example is Brain Powerd.
if you are able to find either of those streaming somewhere, just give their first episodes a peep around the same time you watch G-Reco.

@Amuro: i'm crying big Gundam tears reading this.

Only watched three so far.

F/SN: as expected, the fight scene was the only thing that I liked. I'm not sure if I want to continue watching it. =S
Magic Kaito: a complete retread of a previous Magic Kaito special, only with more QUALITY art. This is a keeper for now, if only because I'm curious on where it'll go once certain things are established.
Buddy Complex 2-part special: a fantastic conclusion to the most entertaining mecha anime I've watched since Gundam Seed introduced me to the genre.

The only reason to watch Cross Ange so far is because of Mizuki Nana--otherwise you may have superbly bad taste
Didn't watch FSN, Log Horizon 2, Terra Formars, Ookami Shoujo, 7 Deadly Sins yet

Grisaia is pretty funny, I Can't Understand what my Husband is Saying is funny, Denki gai no Honya san is decent so far, Sora no Method is reminiscent of AnoHana, Madan Vanadis is fun

I've already forgotten the actual songs, but the G-Reco OP is almost all footage from ep 1 (so...maybe not a final OP?) and the ED is really cute but also has this really low-effort animation at the beginning. Well really, the whole ED is like non-animated but everybody is so happy and line dancing so w/e.

how did you watch the first episode of Cross Ange and think it was worth anything? they literally played sexual assault up as if it was fanservice.

not enough of the good/hyped fall shows are out, so i'm still feeling disappointed and almost like the season has yet to start. Reconguista is really good so far but I've got a few shows yet to watch (Sora no Method, Magic Kaito, Otaku Husband, and Wolf Girl). World Trigger was aggressively bad just like Cross Ange, and Terraformars is literally a black screen half the time.
