A guy kissed me 3 nights ago
I went to Belgium with my family for Spring break. I was super jet lagged and couldn't sleep. I woke up at 1am. There was a gay bar directly across my room. http://imgur.com/rN9QP3d
I never go to gay bars. There were other bars around but this one just outside my room so, what the hell, I went in. There were people singing in there. People started talking to me but my French isn't that good so it was really awkward. I start making small talk with this Belgian dude. Tall. Dirty blonde hair. He was what people would consider attractive. His English was really good. Minutes pass. Britney Spear's "Hit me baby" was being played. I was watching the people sing on stage when he just leaned over and kissed on my mouth. I looked at him speechless and I didn't know what to think. Wtf just happened? My face turned really really hot and red. Ran to the bathroom. I spit all the saliva out of my mouth. I put the foam soap in my mouth and spit that out. Then I put hot and more soap and spit that out. I just kept spiting. All I could think of in that moment was STD STD STD. I ran out of the bar but I didn't want him to see that I was staying directly across the bar so I walked around Brussels for over 2 hrs. I just walked around so confused, so angry, and so feeling so humiliated. It was really cold. Basil, I've been thinking about what happened that night so much. Tonight I realized something. I kinda like it. The moment he was kissing me. I kinda liked it.

Moral of the story: being in a gay bar alone is like being in a straight bar as a girl that is alone.

That went from 0 to 100 real quick. I took an anthroplogy course in college and one week we watched this video. They gathered a group of straight men, 50% of them were homophobic and other 50% were non-homophobic. They made everyone watch ghay pron and majority of the homophobic group were "aroused' if you know what i mean. On the other hand, the non-homophobic group was less aroused. This story proves this study.

@Luapxal344: How old are you? Considering you went to a bar in Europe, I would assume over 18 to early 20's which is typically the experimental ages. Try not to overthink a kiss. It shouldn't bother you too much if you're comfortable with your sexuality. I went to a gay bar once with a few female friends and one of my guy friends and it was pretty weird. I was hit on by a guy the first minute I was in there and I have to say I was flattered. And you should be too, regardless if you felt the same way. haha.

Not really. Yes, I liked it and It was just a kiss. I was over thinking this the past couple of days. I'm over it now. Still, I will never consider going out with a guy anytime soon. I like women. I want to get married to a woman. The whole experience just shocked me. I just wanted to share.
