How to hide cigarette smell

I have started to smoke, but don't want my family to find out that I have this habit. Do any of you have some advice on how to hide the smell from clothes, hands, ect...
@TrueAtheist: lolol, you have problems sir. I do care about smokers because I care about myself; when they smoke, they make the air stink, they become more aggresive, they suck balls. I dont work out and i do play video games most of the time im awake, simply because thats what i can do to entertain myself, and i dont work out because I have a problem that i cant get weigh as easy as most people. im almost 17 and im about 46kg. its not because i dont want to, its in my gens to be thin until im about 20... it's like that in most of my family members. i just hate smokers because they are clingged (?) to a drug that can hurt the people around them, and just make themselves more stressful, which means they will be more agressive towards other people. </3
Smoking makes you aggressive? That's news to me. The only way smoking would make you aggressive is if you're going through withdrawal, thus in a heightened state of aggravation. But even then that's not smoking making you aggressive.. it's the withdrawal symptoms.. similarly how people get agitated if they don't get their morning coffee.

Secondly, not all smokers are putting people at risk, in fact the vast majority of smokers are not. The only time second-hand smoke is reason for concern is if someone is smoking constantly in an enclosed space and they have family members around, this represents a very small portion of smokers who actually do that.

Lastly, how tall are you? I know plenty of people who were around that weight at that age, I had one friend who was 115 lbs and 6'0 and several of them decided to stop making excuses and gain weight/lift weights. Gaining weight isn't impossible, it's simple math, if you consume more calories in a day than you burn you will gain weight. If you're not gaining weight then you're not eating enough, simple as that. Don't blame it on genetics.

A tiny frame doesn't stop someone from working out. As I said, you just have a skewed view of smoking. It's ok though, I remember my high school health class ^____^

No problem! It's not "harmless" by any means, but everything we do has some harm attached to it. The negative effects of tobacco is just overstated.
You are not really making sense. But 1% of smokers die every year is a clear fact, and that is a significant number. If you say cigarette are not harmful, then that is your opinion. Keep believing whatever you think is correct.
I never said it wasn't harmful. I said it's nowhere near as harmful as people say it is. EVERYTHING we do can cut our life expectancy. Casually smoking is no worse than anything else.
If he's insisting on dying early let him have his wish. That's what I think. If someone smoke, is because he's weak. I won't ever smoke, because to me it's a sign of weakness. When I'm in a bad mood, I play video games. Sure I'll probably need glasses when I'm like 35-40 in this rate, but at least I won't be desperate to smoke every half an hour. I know people who smoke that if they weren't smoking they would have probably be one of the more successful people I know. Smoking is bad, it makes you look bad, and you should feel bad, but if he chose to do so, let him have his "fun" for now and when he cough like he's sick and I'm not, we'll see who has the last laugh. Btw smoking increase your chance of getting cancer by 50% if I checked the right source. Fix me if I'm wrong but isn't 50% a lot?
Okay first of all what do you mean by a 'smoker'.. OP's chance of getting lung cancer has not increased by 50%, he has not smoked chronically for decades and statistically speaking he probably won't. There are smokers who smoke once a day, once a week, once a month, etc. You are lumping everyone in the same group. Those statistics are only for the worst of the worst, people who smoke a pack or more a day for 20-30+ years.

Not to mention it isn't even your problem, it isn't your life, and it's none of your business. You seem to be obsessed with the lives of smokers, I doubt they have the time to analyze and worry about your life so why are you so obsessed with what people are doing with their bodies?

How would you feel if someone started analyzing and judging everything you do? I'm sure you're not the healthiest person in the world. Do you eat fast food? Do you drink soda? Do you play video games all day? Do you not work out? Because in my opinion all those things are extremely unhealthy and I view those people as "weak" just as you view smokers as weak. If you don't workout I view you as weak and I think you don't care about your body, and statistically speaking you're going to live a shorter life than someone who gets regular exercise and eats healthy.

All you are is biased towards smokers, I doubt you view someone eating a big mac in the same light as you view someone having a cigarette, quite frankly eating McDonald's 5 times a week is more unhealthy than 5 cigarettes a week.
That 1% is all cigarette related deaths. That doesn't include stuff like allergies, and other forms of cancer. If you want to specifically target lung cancer, it's more around 100k people die a year. On top of that, cigarette smoke isn't even the leading cause of lung cancer iirc. More people die every day from other stuff. People just unfairly target tobacco.
-It is expensive
-it is bad for your health, it will cause lung cancer and you gonna die.
-2nd hard smoke is bad for people around you
-bad influence for kids around you such as siblings, cousins, or even your own kids in the future
What to do?
-Quit being friends with smokers
-Don't give in to peer pressure to smoke
-Say no when they give you a cigarette, give an fake excuse such as allergy or lung problems so that you can't smoke.

On a different note, the government should really ban smoking & make it illegal. Instead of trying to legalize pot ...
Lol no. Go back to D.A.R.E. more.

@Flexography: Have you ever thought that I might enjoy to smoke? It's something that helps relieve stress, it helps me finish those tough homework assignments. Also, I'm trying to be as considerate as possible about it. I don't get why everyone is getting so mad. I am trying to smoke and not bother anyone. Why can't you let me have this? I obviously don't smoke nearby others so that i won't be found out. So your argument about me harming others is invalid. Why would not let me have this little joy?

I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't do drugs, I don't know what excuse the thread starter has for starting to smoke. Yet I couldn't care less about the habits of people. Ever since smoking has been banned indoors it hasn't really been a health issue for people besides the smoker (as for those who smoke pregnant etc. no way to ban idiots, it's kind of like drunk dads beating out their families). The health effects of passive smoke outdoors are insignificant compared to car, factory and other pollution we breath in everyday. Smoking has turned from health issue to moral issue, and that's what I have a problem with.

I also don't believe that a few years longer life is always better. Live and let live, my dear nannies.

-Smoke facing away from the wind
-If it's warm enough, take your jacket off and smoke. If not, roll up the sleeves on your smoking hand.
-Go and eat something after smoking
-Cologne/body spray
-Always wash your hands after smoking
-Smoke in open areas

That's really about all you can do...

What I used to do is practically drench my jacket in Axe since my other clothes didn't absorb the smell, then I stuck it under my bed. The smell mostly goes away after that, but adding another coat of body spray wouldn't hurt.

Smoke outdoors so the smell won't cling as much to you and to your clothes.

Washing your hands immediately after smoking with hot water and soap can decrease the odor.

I've heard oranges can mask the odor fairly well.

Rubbing your fingers in grass can hide it too.

Wearing a glove can help prevent your fingers from smelling like smoke.

To everyone telling OP to stop smoking - it's been made clear many times in many ways what is in a cigarette and he's made his own choice. No one here is telling you to knock it off with your bad habits. Don't preach to him.

Unless you're smoking a pack a day, cigs only last on your hands/breath for like 30 minutes. Just stay outside for a while and you'll be fine.

Your hands will pretty much always smell like cigarettes. You're SoL in that area. As for your clothes, the best you can do is something like a spray deodorant/cologne.

Otherwise, just get an E-cig. They're cleaner and you can vape indoors in many establishments (though some may not like it). They also have many delicious flavors.
