Asl Ice Bucket Challenge

Just wondering so answer the poll.
I basically told my friends that I would kill them if they nominate me so I got out of it
But I'm pouring the bucket on my friend's head tomorrow

EDIT: ALS

Like. It's so stupid. No one even knows what ALS is. People are so retarded.
Does it really matter if some people don't know what ALS is when they have already raised over $10 million compared to the $1.7 million they raised last year? Its bringing awareness to the disease and has helped raise a ton of money.

I understand how people see it as stupid. The majority of my Facebook friends are doing it just for the fun of it. But at least it's gotten a ton of donations, and at least a lot of people know what the disease is now. The intentions of the people doing the challenge may be questionable, but at least it has produced results that will benefit those in need.

I find it to be a stupid fad and I'm already tired of hearing about it lol. Like if you wanna donate, just do it, why do people have to be "challenged" into it. Heck the way people describe it, you wouldn't even know it was about charity.

I doubt I'll get challenged though, because everyone I know already knows I only check my facebook once every 5-6 months lol.

I agree that dumping a water over your head or donating is stupid, but it was effective to raise awareness, which is more important.

This challenge is basically my showers.
A bit of a hyperbole, but I do take really cold showers.

Although I'm lounging around in Lowell as we speak, no one has nominated me yet. For one, not many really know me 'cause I'm a loser. Two, they probably think I'd kill 'em if they did.

I feel like half of the people that are doing it, just do it and not even donating the whatever the amount of $ they need to donate >.< Which is dumb

Donated son. No point in doing this stuff. Oh well. At least that 100 dollars will go to a good cause unlike that challenge.

It's at least raised SOME awareness for lou gehrig's disease, especially now famous celebrities like Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake has done it, it's better than nothing.

EDIT: More celebs.

Taylor Swift
Selena Gomez
My fav one, Bill Gates
Mark Zuckerberg
It wasn't too bad, some reason the rules that got to New Zealand was to pour 3 buckets of ice water aswell as donating $10. If you dont do the challenge within 48 hours you need to pay $100.
Well in nyc you do it once (technically you donate 10 if you do it anyways but most people don't, they think it's a get out of jail card thing)
And you have to do it in 24 hours or you pay 100
