You're drinking some pretty nasty beer then bro.

@nonsonofronz Alcohol, drugs, dance with one another, talk and socialize. Sometimes drinking games.

@nonsonofronz: my friend goes and steals all the soda they're using for chaser, keeps a steady supply of sugary drinks in our dorm
OT: Honestly depends on who you're with. There's people I want to get sh[tfaced with, people I want to get high with, and people I want to stay sober/slightly buzzed with.

By having friends, family, hobbies, and passions.

...In other words, by living.

I told them the story of the nipple piercing/sparkling vagna lady in Belgium. It was a great bonding moment.
@cookieman9000: They can have their own reason, which I'll never understand, while I also can have my own reason, which they'll probably never understand as well.
I'm not saying having a pause in reality is bad, but there are "better" ways to do it, which are way "more efficient", "less costly", and deal "lesser harm to your health".
Also, OP made it sounds like he is relying on drunkenness to live his life or whatnot, which literally gave me a "feel" that he is an alcoholic or heavy drinker or whatnot.
You see, I'm not a man who like to step in the "grey zone", nor the "black zone".
Although I do visit them once in a while, I try my best not to do it often.
I've no idea what good can alcohol do for ones aside from aiding them to escape from the reality, which is never a solution to the problems.
As someone who barely drinks ever (only a bit of beer a few times a year) and never got drunk, I couldn't agree less. How can you be so sure that escaping reality isn't a good solution ever? You can never know the circumstances that leads a person to do it. It can be terminal illness, trauma, etc... Sometimes it can be a very good idea to put reality on a pause.

The saying goes " i drink to forget" so unless your life is total hell and you really think being drunk helps then go ahead
I not even 18 yet

I'm up over 24 hours straight about twice per week, I can confirm I definitely feel a lot more loopy and "out-there" on those days. Usually I feel more energetic and social when I haven't slept
Also apparently sleep deprivation can have the potential to act as an antidepressant, that's cool
