Doing the laundry
When someone says "do the laundry" what exactly do you /do/?
I'm having controversy over this in my house.
Opinions, please?
Edit: I mean what do you do.
I personally think "do the laundry" means to put it in the washing machine.
My mom says that isn't what it means.
Second Edit: So my mom thinks that "do the laundry" has nothing to do with the washing machine and it means to fold it.
And she's mad at me that i washed the laundry instead.

It means both for me and my wife....just depends on WHERE the laundry is at the moment.
@Dorks: oh right. it's what you make me do
@Liam: no you don't
Dirty Clothes. Make Clothes Clean. Put Clothes Away. Cycle of laundry.
At home, I have to lug my laundry to the garage and load up the washing machine. If someone left their laundry, I check to see if there are any clothes in the dryer. If there is and it's done, I put it in a laundry basket. If the washing machine also has clothes and is done, I separate the ones that can be in the machine with the ones that dry on the hangers. Then I dry their clothes and wash mine and lug a clean load back to the house. Happens when you live in a house of 10+.
In my apartment I just make sure there's a washer and when I'm done I make sure there's a dryer. I also bring quarters and stuff.
I hardly fold my clothes because my sis gave me the lazy way - put all your clothes on hangers and dump your undies and socks in a drawer.
lol that's what i dooooooooo

Wasn't it like maurice?
Laundry is Chandler's nickname.
I tell myself to do the laundry, which involves washing, drying, and putting away, since I live by myself.
Anything to do with the washing machine...
AKA: Putting clothes in it & turning it on/ taking clothes out and hanging them up/ taking clothes down; folding them and putting them away.
What's your family's thoughts on what it is? lol
Arguing with parents rarely results in a win just give up while you're ahead.
OT: I usually just wash and dry and leave it in a basket in their room because I refuse to fold unless specified
Do the laundry...no one really asks me that. But hang the clothes on the clothes line OR take the collect the clothes off the clothes line? Yeah, I do that.
I'd assume "do the laundry" means put the clothes in the washing machine, add all the powders and stuff, start the washing machine, take it out after it's done and hang the clothes on the clothes line (taking the clothes down, folding them and putting them away requires time for the clothes to dry).
HA! NOBODY TELLS ME TO DO THAT! jk.
but idk maybe you might just.. "do the laundry.." IM JUST PUTTIN THAT OUT THERE
i "do the laundry"
because i'm grateful that my parents give me food and shelter
and they love me and i love them
