The old man and I were doing some shopping at Costco and he saw a cute worker and told me that she's cute, hinting I should probably hit on her or something. I tell him that I know a lot of pretty girls but I care more for the personality. Then he asks me why I'm even looking for a girl with a personality, and that I should be seeking pretty girls at my age, not a wife. Then he called me lame.

Most of the time (keyword: most), a pretty girl's personality is just her looks. She doesn't know how to carry a conversation and people still get mesmerized by her. I only found a few really attractive outgoing girls who can legit make a fun conversation (thank you Abercrombie!), but it's kind of a competition with the other guys yeknow.
Perhaps I should try the "hit it & quit it" lifestyle for a bit.

You never know what will happen, so give it a shot. You don't have to support the way your dad thinks, but you can take the good parts of it.
You'll regret not being promiscuous when you're younger. You can always find a used up, slag who's looking for money and settling down when you're 24-26, when they start aging like milk and you'll look as young as ever.
Get out there and gain some experience. Because this "nice" girl you are looking for doesn't want to waste time on personality at a young age.
