Your past experience of being a noob during pre-bb

Title says it all.

What did you back then when you were a noob during pre-BB?

I remember back in pre-bb, I always liked to talk to people regardless of their lv because it made the community much more friendlier back then compared to todays.. also I would always beg for mesos and pretend to be a scammer.

how about you guys?

I broke my mouse clicking so much for KPQ/LPQ, but I was ok with it because my broken mouse would double click when I pressed once. It wasn't very fun when I wasn't on maple though.

& when I was a little nublet archer, my friend and I decided to go to Ludi, but we got stuck because we didn't have enough mesos to get back on the ship.

I made my first character, a warrior, and gave him luk and int. then proceeded to increase his dex to the point where it took me like 5 lvls to equip armor 5 lvls below me, because my str was so low.

I remember 1st, 2nd, and 3rd job being mostly done via PQs (KPQ, CPQ, LMPQ)

KS wars at Windraiders
Buying skele leech for hundreds of mil to get to 4th job from Bishops.
Quit my first char (I/L mage) at lv 77 and deleted it, Made a Corsair
Eventually quit my Corsair at lv 146 and deleted it, Made an Aran.

I remember using my Bandit/NW to explore the whole world with Dark Sight. I learned quite a lot and got stuck in the Orbis/Ludi towers a lot. xD

It took me about 40 levels (and a friend informing me) that, as a mage, I needed to actually use Magic Guard in order to stop dying. I had just been plugging AP into HP.

I tried banking my luck off finding Steelies from Fire Drakes and Ilbis from Mushmom. I found none.

pre-bb. I played when maple was first introduced back in Korean in 2003. All I remember is super crowded Perion where people spammed chat to sell/buy things. Most of the times I played I remember grinding slimes and getting angry at botters who just attack+move in Ellinia.

The very first character I ever made. I made a dexless thief. I spent a solid 30min rolling for 4/4/5/5 and from 1-10 I put everything in to luck.
I was doing such low damage that it took my twice as long getting to level 10.
After all that, I needed dex to advance as a thieve. I was devastated.

a few years ago there was a huge dupe or something on chaos scrolls during an event. I was just a kid and bought a few thousand of them super cheap and was excited to resell and make big cash, was thinking about it during the entire school day. Came home and nexon (maybe it was still Wizet? idr) said they would wipe or like ban ppl in possession of them and to drop / npc them. I got so sad and scared and NPCed all of them as well as quips that i used it on. some time later iirc they just didnt do anything b/c nobody listened...

Sooo back in third grade ( I'm going into college now) I got my friends to buy me like 10K NX each. I was a level 15 rogue, who packed points into everything (STR DEX INT LUK) to be even. I did piddly damage, and with the NX my friends bought me, I bought some of the ___ of Death items (Shoes, hat), and I walked around with my green glowy scythe which was 2h only, and I had a red shiner bow just laying around in my inventory. Good times. Then I learned some stuff, got some stuff, did some stuff, and had a pretty badass level 64 dexless assassin.

I remember a friend of mine was training her Hermit at Windraiders since she'd been playing longer while I was stuck at Ghost Ship 6 til 3rd job. Eventually I went to Skeles (since F/Ps could train there at low levels due to Poison Mist since it wasn't based off of damage back then) and started leveling quicker.
