People that self diagnosis themselves
Have you ever self-diagnosed yourself on the internet and believed it(bipolar disorder, schizophrenic, etc) or pass it off as a bunch of lies? Personally I would count myself as very cynical to the point where I can't enjoy life as much as I would like to.

Seems like bipolar disorder is a common self-diagnosis people identify as online, but the epidemiological data shows a prevalence of < 3% (it's even lower outside of North America).
heck no its not fun at all (ik ur being sarcastic), the fact that I have low self esteem makes me always avoid people. Although happening less cause I've been getting help.
Yeah, I feel ya. I have quite a major social anxiety but I've been hanging out with friends close to me who've been gently pushing me towards being social with their friends (Who start as complete strangers to me) - That topped off with a minor depression and bipolar disorder, it's not fun. But hey, I'm coping and helping it.
I diagnosed myself with anorexia to justify eating more.
Well I know I have social anxiety disorder (since childhood but my parents did nothing about it; I never even got help) because I feel panicky and anxious on a daily basis even though I exercise, sleep and try to eat right. I even try to think positive thoughts but my anxiety feels almost uncontrollable. >.<
i wish, then i'd have an excuse to be a failure.
why diagnose yourself when you can, diagnose your elf?
Yeah, I'm usually right though. It helps that my dad's a doctor so I've learned a lot from him over the years.
Right now I'm assuming (from self diagnosis) that I'm bipolar, just like every else in my family....
Meh, im probably ducked up either way, but I hate going to the doctors, I never will unless im dying of something.
Well when I was in an intro psych class, anxiety disorders sounded like me but i was kind of used to panic attacks and that sort of response whenever i was in public places so i didn't think too much of it.
it probably wasn't until i went to therapy where i actually got diagnosed with social anxiety on top of depression

Fun having social anxiety, ain't it? Don't move to a different state in the middle of a high school year. Just makes it worse.

So true.
WebMD always diagnoses me with something fatal
I stubbed my toe once.
I self-diagnosed.
Turns out I have pediatric cancer.
I don't think that self-diagnosis is reliable, but if you do suspect you may have something like depression or bipolar disorder or schizophrenia through self-diagnosis then I think you should probably see a professional to either lay your suspicions to rest, or to confirm them.
