For the love of sanity, Stop It
All you see on basil lately is how horrible Nexon is failing, how Maplestory is dead, etc, and it's stupid and sickening, all these (clearly) uneducated twits putting their two cents in that no one asked for thinking they know everything. I'm going to post a quote I made on a thread a few days ago, and address a couple more commonly abused expressions used by all the mindless followers.

Just like any other company, Nexon and their employees have lives. They have needs, food, water, their homes. They have to take care of themselves and their families, and even if you're a billionaire, you're not going to spend all your money to keep a video game running for other people, eventually you'll run out, then you're just a moron.
You're constantly complaining about the game, but guess what? 99% of you are still playing. Believe it or not, Nexon is busting their ass to try to fix this game, to make it more enjoyable for players, to make it a little easier for everyone to get somewhere so they can do something, whether you think it shows or not. Not everyone could level easy, so they had big bang, made it easier to level, made it easier to get a bit stronger, raised the damage cap, eventually it got a little [i]too[/i] easy, and they changed things a bit more in Unleashed, now things are a bit harder, but they're not done yet, RED is coming, and patches after RED, they're getting ready for the release of 5th job, and working hard trying to get the revamps just right so the majority of players in each class find them enjoyable, but nothing satisfies everyone. Someone will always complain. The problem isn't that [i]some[/i] people complain; it's that [i]everyone else[/i] just blindly agrees. You're literally just reading all the threads you see on basil, and reposting them to complain again about the same thing.....OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
I get it, improvements can be made to the game, but what none of you seem to understand is they ARE trying, they HAVE started listening to the players. The customer service has been amazing lately, including an addition of live chat, which has ban appeals on Wednesdays. You're complaining about things from years ago because morons who don't even play anymore decided they wanted to rage about the one thing they [i]used to[/i] know in this game.
The GMs have been hosting SO MANY events, at least in Bellonova, I've met several of them and talk to a couple regularly, they're TRYING to reach out to the community. They WANT to get involved. They've stepped up massively with banning and such, browsing some forums you see them raging about getting 20 accounts perma banned in a night. They have KILLED multimaple nearly completely to the point where one of the most popular hacking tools is reduced to half price because Nexon ruined their business. It works for some people, but for most, not even a little bit.
While yes, they have to make money, they still don't have to have prices nearly as high as they do, cubes in GMS are literally 10x the price of KMS, you can get 11 of ones we get for $3.50 there, kind of ridiculous when you think about it. They could do for being a bit more creative instead of constantly putting out the same stuff, but adding minor tweaks. They could do away with ruining perfectly good content by trying to make it better, it's not helping Nexon, it's really making it worse.
They have killed the social aspect of the game, party quests may be good again, but no one does them because training is just....easier... I guess. The reward for PQing isn't worth it anymore, the only time you see people PQing is for low levels or high levels with nothing better to do all day than level traits.
They should pick better times for 2x events, they host events at like 2 pm PST, that's 5 pm EST, most people are just getting home from work or eating, it's silly that we can't participate in events because they don't take in to account ANY other time zones besides PST. They MENTION EST, but they're not doing anything to make things easier for them, or the Australians across the globe.
Less worlds, more merges. We already have little amounts of people, we don't need the small amounts we have spread out even further, but for the love of god do not merge ANYONE with Scania, Windia, Bera, or Broa, they're fine as they are, and personally, I don't want them.

Nexon has to worry about the player base as a WHOLE, not a FEW INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE. They try their hardest to do the best for EVERYONE in any way they can as opposed to letting everyone get angry and QQ about nothing being done at all. A year ago when they were doing nothing, all anyone did was complain about their lack of interest in the game, now they're trying to fix things, and everyone is raging because they're not doing what THEY want them to. They can't please everyone. THEY KNOW THAT, but they ARE trying now, so seriously, give them a break.

They can't fix things they don't know about, and I get it, the drops should have been fixed, as well as several other things, but guess what? They had exploits released, and various other things, and that all delays that being fixed when they're dealing with other issues. Your post is useless. Your existence is useless. Yea sure they make mistakes, but the difference between them and regular people is that when regular people can fix their mistakes they do.
Not to mention Nexon has thousands of people ready to give their opinion on what they should do.

I'm just upset they didn't do a rollback for the meso exploit. Instead, Nexon decided to ban many innocent players.

GMS Unleashed was clearly a money grab. They haven't fixed any of the drops from major bosses (lol Empress Shoulderpads? Get them from this new NX-only item instead of fighting Shadow Cygnus~ CRA and Tyrant? Gachapon and Marvel only~).

We complain because Nexon gets so much money from us and gives us nothing back. they even take more away such as drops from the bosses, which hasn't been fixed for 4months+ already
