It's actually true... Not everyone is as humble as you think^, especially when I know like 10-20 MIT under&gradstudents from high school
lmao there you go with your ego again. it's too funny because if you actually go to MIT you would be humble.
it also makes you realize that society values smarties that dont try so hard to show off to people on the internet.

btw i don't go to MIT but i go to a good enough school that people turn down ivys for. i'm not going to tell you because i dont care enough to tell the internet what school i go to.

what it comes down to is, you're not as big shot as you think you are.
lol turn down ivys cause they're too poor to afford it
thats cool i dont care cause nobody in MIT is actually as humble as u think.

@Reasonable : We have four higher education systems in California: private schools, University of California (UC), California State University (CSU), and California Community College (CCC). Stanford and USC are private schools. UCLA and UC Berkeley are part of the 11 UC campuses.

@Reasonable : USC isn't part of the UC system.

On that note, if anyone is applying to the UC system, feel free to PM me with questions .

@Irony:
If you went to MIT, you'd at least know some stuff about MIT. (And your post, frankly, sounded fake)
1) Name 5 food places from the student center.
2) What buildings are linked to the infinity corridor?
3) How do you get to the red line from the main dome?
That's where I got accepted. I live in Georgia and the only financial aid I applied for was a FASFA form. Out of state tuition is too expensive, so the only places I could go to were between Georgia tech and Southern Poly. annnnd- living in Atlanta is rather expensive as well. My parents weren't the best off financially, so I went to SPSU for my first semester, might shack up with some buds for sophomore year at Tech and I will most likely do my grad work in either Boston or Pasadena since I have relatives near both and will be able to claim residency for lowered tuition; but, if everything works out and I get a career in software developement off the internship I have, when I graduate and work for a year, my company will sponsor my education. This is all in the utmost seriousness, no trolling.
Wow, congrats, that's great news! I'm an MIT grad student, I'm hoping for the same. My scholarships from various organizations paid off most of my tuition and my office of internship will probably pay off the rest since I've been working with them for nearly three years. I'll probably also join them as an associate after I get both of my Master's in the Spring or Summer.

@RugbyBall: I make no assumptions. How the is that an insult? Yes, I don't know who you are, so I just listed out all the possibilities and included bad time management especially because I have trouble with that at times too.

Your HS GPA beyond merit scholarships means nothing in college.
"Success is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration."
Most people aren't born gifted in any way. You can definitely work your way up. Don't limit yourself by having the mindset that other people are "gifted." Minus maybe a few autistic kids or kids that have incredible memory/problem solving skills without any neurological diseases, everyone had to work their way up too.

@supernoob: omgomgomg yes him. hes so fiking annoying and he stinks. he studied for the shsat for YEARS. then when he got in he thought it was cuz he was smart. in reality it was just a shiizzz ton of studying. and the studying for this is repetive. more like memorizing and learning tips to help you.

UNBC for example asks for current marks, and "predicted" course marks for 2nd semester.
which.. I find kind-of weird 'cause how the hell are you supposed to "predict" a mark for a course you haven't taken yet?

@RugbyBall: You're going to see high school attitude everywhere :x. And are you really that caught up with work? You might just be in a school that has really cut-throat academics or you're not managing your time well enough. (Not saying you necessarily aren't, but you might be).
