@afterhelium: Cool! Who knows, I might even know you, LOL. I'll PM you my fb.

We still have all of those but now we also have soft ware development.
Stuy as a whole has really changed a lot, lol. I really don't like the new administration.

@afterhelium: Whoah, really? What year? LOL. If you want the repo for last term's projects, message me. This was a new class that Z just started this year. It's been pretty fun but I kind of dislike how it's 90% self-directed.

@Matewan: Eh, most high school CS classes are pretty BS, lol. What most schools teach in a year you can self-teach in a few days or less.
@metaghost4: Or that firefox needs to add canvas support, lol. I believe svg works on firefox (If it didn't, that would be weird and horrible because it wouldn't be able to get cool vector graphics), but our project was more well-suited for canvas. But hey, we could've alienated all the other browsers completely by making this a chrome extension.

@Amyrlin: Yeah. You've heard of stuy?
Pretty impressive for a high school class. They didn't even offer any cs classes when I was in hs; offered it a year after I left but all they learned was like the first 5 chapters of java for dummies.

@metaghost4: Are you on firefox? We never tested this on firefox, and that might be the one browser that javascript canvas doesn't work on.

@Roxcibop: Javascript can't detect the edge of a screen. The other problem with that idea is that the character would be technically floating in mid-air at that instance. In the end, we want the character to be partially zoomed into, so that the screen moves WITH the character.
@SirD: Eh. That was a bad design choice. Before we used spacebar to switch pages, but that would also make some screens scroll down = problem.

Give the player a jetpack or racc.oon tail or something, it gets pretty tiresome spamming the W.

No it's not haha, and don't worry the website is more than coding I'll tell you where to post etc. The guys there do some pretty impressive work they might help you out.

Edit: It also works on chrome and safari. Haven't tested anything else though.

Oh stereotypes ~
Haha kidding seriously I like the idea. Though it looks like it only works with i.e which is a shame, if you want more opinions though pm I can link you to site where people are more "experienced" I guess with coding.

@metaghost4: Currently just a sandbox. You can add the code to any map. Follow the instructions on the site.
@LetThereBeFradd: There's a javascript library we can use for that called zoom.js, but the problem is that the library itself is buggy.

Everything commented so far is not constructive, lol.
We've spent about 20 total hours working on this.

Things that we might implement:
-Ability leave messages behind on webpages
-RPG elements
-Ability to interact with other players
-Going to a new webpage with the javascript intact, however that's impossible using pure JS. Will be doable with a chrome extension.
