high school presidency speech? hi guys. i'm running for the president of my student council and my speech is due on tuesday. i've been contemplating for the longest time and i've come to no avail- i have no idea what i need to include in my speech. the average speech consists of the speakers talking about themselves, why they think they're right for the jobs and promises they make to make the following school year better. that sounds jolly, except i don't know what i can do to make my school better. fundraisers, i can't do any. legit, my school has a fundraiser like 8 times a month. we have bake sales, donation boxes, etc. so many things its ridiculous. also, next year we won't be able to sell food frequently so i can't think of any other w

thoughts on this work out routine? hey guys. so i'm a 16 year old guy weighing in about 165 pounds and this is my work out routine, and i'd really appreciate some comments/constructive criticism to help me on my path to becoming fit :D. oh, and i've been working out since september, but back then i would just do everything halfheartedly and i had horrible form. i got really into it somewhere around january. monday --------- cardio day. either run a 32 minute circuit (consisting of box jumps, shuttle runs, jogging, and skipping) at school or run 7k (i have early morning gym everyday, and depending on the weather we alternate between the two). tuesday --------- chest & triceps day. -bench press -dumbbell press -incline bench press -dumbbe

a somewhat cute way to apologize to a girl. so i kinda need a somewhat cute way to apologize to this girl who is very, very special to me. i was letting her friends put some make up on me to score some brownie points from them (they think i'm too straight edge and not fun), and she took out a mirror and kept on trying to show me my reflection. i really didn't want to see it, so i was playfully swatting the mirror with my hand. at one point, she moved it closer to her head and so i accidentally hit her head and the force made her back it up into the wall. she said it hurt a lot and i thought she was joking, but it turns out her head was pulsing super hard for the rest of the day and her cousin told me she was pree upset about it all. so y'kn

how long until i start seeing results? -title-. i'm a 16 year old male, and i feel like i'm hella fat. a lot of people think i'm "average" or "okay", but quite honestly i weight in the high 160's and i'm 5'8/9. it's inexcusable, and although i've improved my height to weight ratio (i used to be 195 in grade 6 when i was 5'1), i feel like crud when i see guys with abs and huge arms. in order to take initiative and try to pursue my goal of becoming fit, i took early morning gym as a class in my school. we run a circuit 2 days a week (we used to run 5-7k but it's snowing outside) and we go weight room for two days, and lastly we play volleyball on fridays. i wouldn't go as far and say that i've improved my weight resistance

morality without religion do you guys think it is possible to hold moral values without being religious? we were talking about morals today in world religions and i guess it's an interesting topic. religions such as islam advocate that you shouldn't drink, kill, steal, etc, but at the same time a lot of the morals religions preach are universal- i.e. no lying. if anything, do you think it was religion that made society adopt morals? i mean i know there are a ton of extremists who consider themselves to be picture perfect worshipers, but i'm talking about the masses right now.
