Maple is the solution for social outcasts

And I approve of that. A place where everyone is equal and accepted is a place where obviously people want to be.

Baroo

I generally feel as big of an outcast here in Maple as I do in real life. *laughs*

The thing is that's not suppose to matter as you'll never meet anyone, ugly and hot is judged by their in game characters.

IMO I could be wrong, is that most who spend time making their chars look super hot aren't really in life and those
Who don't pay much attention to their characters are the ones who don't stress about their looks.

@ShadeCaro: Everything everyone says about people rubbing their ranges in other peoples faces sounds so ridiculous to me...
No ones ever put my range down or has rubbed theirs in my face or anything like that; in my 3 years of playing.
I don't know if I've just been getting the good end of the stick, but having played for 3 years I find it hard to believe that people actually do this kind of thing; especially since I don't notice it.

Windia is a great place though. ;P

There's the occasional "Hey, what's your attack range?".
But that's it.
Windia sounds so joyful. Even in Khaini, we have people run up to you screaming about their range.

Eh, that was completely uncalled for. You don't even know the guy. EDIT: Right, that first comment, okay. But that second was just flame bait.

The game's pretty much a bigger than life mirror of the real world; here too there are elitists, whether it's about damage or looks... Nevertheless it seems to be a bit easier to blend in here. Or at least that's my experience.
People who spend cash to get a large advantage over people who don't spend money, probably enjoy the damage. o_o
Why can't damage be fun...?

On another note; I've never seen someone going "HAHA, MY ATTACK RANGE IS 100000x YOURS".
Contrary to what everyone else is saying, I actually see the more funded/strong people getting hate rather than the weak.
If you're funded people act as if you've never seen the sun or something.

OT:
Accepted: Everyone's welcome to play the game if they want to.
Equal: lolno.
You're in Windia and you've never seen "HAHA, MY ATTACK RANGE IS 100000x YOURS"? WHAT WITCHCRAFT IS THIS?
Everyone Equal and accepted in maplestory?
Accepted: Barely.
Equal: Never.
People who spend cash are 100x better in combat, and shun people who are weak that play for FUN.
Maplestory is just a place where other people can be themselves and get shunned for it WITHOUT it hurting their real self-esteem.
They shouldn't play so much then. If Maple Story didn't exist, they would be doing the exact same thing with a different game.
People with addictive personalities always find an outlet.

How is everybody equal and accepted when those without NX and the best equips are looked down on a hassled? Title should be changed to "Maplestory is just as petty and socially destructive as real life". Good thing people take what others say online to heart less than they would in real life.

My experience has been solitary and I like it as most people that I see aren't old enough to drive.
