Vouchers mean nothing. All it takes is people you know to say this and that and it is considered ok.

On topic. I can say I would give it back, but in the end I guess it depends on a lot...
I would have let them know before hand that I don't understand why I am receiving
said item and that should lead to a convo that prevents this trade in the 1st place

Depends on godliness.
If it increases my damage range decently, I'd keep it unless he asks for it back. If it wins the game for me or gives me 2m range, I'd probably keep it or log out/"lag" when he asks for it back.

Meh, I have a reputation and friends. Things like that can be taken pretty seriously by others, especially if the person turns it on you and make it a world wide drama issue. I'm not ruining my main for a little bit of money.

I don't care about profit no matter the magnitude and I wouldn't prioritize it over principle even if I did.

The only conditions under which I won't return it is if they are scammers or ask with hostility. If it's the former, I'd try locating the person/people they scammed and give it to them.
