First of all, I just want to tell you that: Nexus is, unfortunately, on hiatus!
If you're angry, I'm not to blame! @LoveandBacon has the responsibility of writing the next part of the story and he's been incredibly lazy lately. So if you want to PM to get his lazy butt off the couch and stop watching Netflix, I highly encourage it!
Secondly, I understand that throwing Sherlock Holmes into the Maplestory setting is going to peeve some people off because "I'm not doing justice to the characters" or "this isn't how the book/movie is." Don't get me wrong, I definitely do blend the charisma of Robert Downey Jr. into the character of Sherlock because I really liked the movies. But honestly, you just gotta bear with me; the story is in development because it's purely original! I'm not basing it off of any of Sherlock's cases or the movies; I'm just mixing elements of both and embedding it into the Maplestory world. I've got a lot of things planned out, and I guarantee there will be lots of twists and turns that are engaging, funny and smart, and that will tie into Maplestory lore. All I'm asking is that you be patient.
All in all, I'm excited to have started this series and am looking forward to continuing it and developing it if the response is relatively positive. I welcome all critiques because it helps me strive to do better.
Enjoy~

" from the creator of nexus "
you don't have to brag dude ....
Dat font.....
@BrownAdventurer: Nexus was terrific, but I find this comic much more entertaining. The Sherlock Holmes and Watson adaptation for Maplestory sounded authentically, well Sherlock Holmes.
It's not really my style of things, but it's pretty nice. Though in my opinion I'd be wary of filling half of every panel with text, and having each comic too long in length. Personally, I believe the idea of a comic is to give the reader a bite-size chunk every episode, and leave them wanting more compared to giving them too much to read too early. If that's not your thing that's perfectly fine of course, that's just my opinion.
I'd honestly like to see you walk away from blending in Robert Downey Junior. The interesting characteristic about Sherlock is how he is differently portrayed in many different series, movies and books. Just look at the contrast between Robert's and Benedict's Sherlocks.
Giving an original spin on it would be something much more interesting to read and most definitely to write. If I want to see Robery Downey Junior, I will watch the movie for the real thing. Because nobody can pull off RDJ better, than RDJ.
Either way, good luck with the series. I'm not much of a Maple comic reader unless the series is completely finished, but I might give it a shot.
lol..even chief stan misses the GMs
When i read this i actually went and got a dictionary.
I loved it, first comic in years that I'll be looking forward to
lol ty for the giggle
Most of basil probably didn't understand any of that.
Baislmarket - Where originality never exists.
"the story is in development because it's purely original"
Ha! I laugh at that statement. Ha!
By purely using Sherlock Holmes the story is already unoriginal as you're using a non-original character as the character is not originally yours so ----unoriginal biatch. I seriously hope you're doing a comedic story, for your own good. I've seen your "Nexus" series, you're no fancy pants writer that's going to do any kinda intriguing or involving story, maybe not a bland murder case, but it's going to be a bland something.
"the story is in development because it's purely original"
I'm only att- I mean critiquing you because of this conceited statement, acting as if you were some kinda spectacular writer, pft, get over yourself.
Ha,ha,haaaaa I didn't even read it when I typed this att- I mean critique. God dam, it is some bland murder case. Dude, you're digging yourself a hole. Just turn it into some kinda cheap 4-koma, at least then you may get some laughs from the dammed retards here.
Seriously, get over yourself dude, you're no fancy writer or story teller, by far from "original" anywhere. So what's with the crap ton of useless text. Thinking you're being fancy? Nah, it's just dull and bore. Seriously, just sell out. Maybe then you can get a few drop dead retards to laugh rather than falsely mislead you, making you think you're any good.
ha, no, gtefo biatch.
Shut up.
Let him make the comic and if you don't like it then don't read it.
It's pretty interesting, I'd like to see more
To everyone asking about Nexus, it is not that hard to READ THE DESCRIPTION. Also to those complaining about the amount of words, how are you passing your English classes? An essence about Sherlock Holmes is his intelligence which can be shown through his words, so of course it will be wordy...
OT: Love this, the character of Holmes is captured excellently through your comic.
interesting.... relatively speaking in basil comics, this isn't the first sherlock holmes adaptation...
it no longer is on basil but http://web.archive.org/web/20130708151638/http://www.basilmarket.com/show/screen/202330/

I did some intense research, both users have the same character, "EclipseSync". He must have gotten banned and made a new account, since you had to use the way back machine. Also their comic style is very similar, which means one thing. They are the same person.
'Tis true. I am CrypticShift! And I did delete it! Bahaha.
still a better love story than twilight
@achyif: I guess my research wasn't intense enough.

weirdly enough, the account still exists, but the sherlock holmes comics have been deleted.... http://www.basilmarket.com/user/CrypticShift
What happened to Nexus?

I like the part where Watson got shot (in the movie he actually does get shot by a tiny arrow).
Where's nexus TT
I read everything in a British accent... and in the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman...
I love the intellectual form of Holme's dialogue, and the small hints of sarcasm/humor are fabulous.
I love the british feeling in the comic and Sherlock's personality is tremendously awesome!
tldr
Why this instead of Nexus?
EDIT: Read it eventually, don't think this will get you anywhere as people are looking for something more...lively.
lol, henehoes
So NPCs do recognize hene-hoes? It must be horrible for them 24/7... Otherwise, good job! +1 for you.
too much text for my little brain
jk nice man
cudnt read past the first slide... tbh
