re-learning the piano after about seven years of not playing it, and guitar.

Piano for seven years... starting violin soon...

I play piano but as a hobby and don't take lessons. My dream is to play fantasie impromptu by chopin. I can actually play the first few measures at regular speed but only with the touch tone turned off. I can't play at constant loudness

Just piano. I've been playing for... 11 years now? I don't practice every day nor do I take it too seriously though, it's just a hobby.

My mother was born in Manhattan, and my father was born in Chicago -- knowing how to play some degree of Jazz was a big thing for us growing up. I can play Tenor and Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, and some Piano chords comfortably, but I can't really play a Soprano Sax or Oboe, or any brass horn because I don't have the embouchure for it...
