Soa on Toonami

So Sword Art Online is coming to Toonami. You know, the anime series on Adult swim. Well I'm not a huge anime watcher, but SAO intrigues me. I already watched all the episodes so I'm not going to watch to finish the series. What I want to know is will the revival of SAO bring new episodes? I know there are a couple more arcs in the manga(they're not manga) and wanted to know if SAO becomes popular again will they start to produce new episodes. If so you better all watch it.

Edit: I messed up and used the acronym SOA instead of SAO. Go ahead, feel free to laugh a little.

They cancelled it for a while and recently brought it back. The first season of IGPX series just ended, so maybe 20 weeks at most? Yeah, and it seems like it's here to stay.
Though I would usually att- critique what you just said due to my stingy opinions, I do like how you mentioned Klein. He definitely had potential, enough for even a newbie to see it, despite how bland the author made him.
Haha, go ahead. You can "critique" all you want. I won't get offended if our opinions are different. I'd actually be glad to hear them out. Maybe I'd get a new view for the world of SAO.

I liked sao, even it's second half.
I have never seen such a misuse of the term "bamf" in all my life, or at least today. The only character in SAO that is even slightly close to being a bamf is Klein. Kirito ran off like a wuss and became an exploter and hacker, any noob wuss can do that. Klein, that's a real gamer's man. Staying back and playing with his buds and still rising up. Dam, that's some balls right there. They should Klein's story, not Fgito, one of the worse MCs out there. Asuna should of been what she really was, an ugly G.I.R.L.

To all the people saying the first arc was good, it was anything but good, not even mediocre. SAO is crap through and through, absolute garbage. The only point of good it would even get for is its art, animation, and maybe music. Maybe music because the opening and ending songs sucked, generic jpop garbage, and the OSTs weren't anything special, even if they were they would of been wasted on this piece of garbage anime. SAO's novels are no exception either, SAO as a whole is garbage.
Amen to that.

To all the people calling the second arc bad... you're kinda right. I mean I don't get it. Why would she like Kirito after knowing she was his cousin? And she gets over embarrassed too much. And she puts a guy that really likes her in the "friend zone".

I don't think the molestation part was really that revealing. I mean Adult Swim/Toonami has done worse that that.

I don't really think that Kirito really has a tsundere. I mean he was pretty nice to Klein. And when he first joined a Guild. He wasn't mean, he was kind of distant. Like he didn't fit. And I don't really think he cheated. I mean he just knew more in the beginning. And how far did that take him probably? In the beta he didn't even make it past the first floor so after that point he didn't have much extra information unless from other sources.

To me the Anime had too much unnecessary female characters. I mean can't Kirito have some bromance? Silica is cute, sure. But the story wouldn't really change if she wasn't there. Liz is actually pretty cool if they didn't try to make a love triangle out of it. She has her own shop and could really help Kirito out.

Klein to me is really a cool character and I kind of wish there were more episodes of him. I mean he risked his life for his friends, he constantly helps Kirito, and he also is one of the players that fight against bosses.

I'm pretty stoked about SAO being shown. I thought the first arc was fantastic, with the second being considerably worse... but overall a good series.

Adult Swim/Toonami is getting better, like it used to be back in the day with the classics. Trigun, 08th MS Team, Blue Gender. Ahhh, the good ol' days.

I watched it since a few people recommended it, but maybe because I was expecting too much that I was rather disappointed. The first 2 episodes were actually great and I can sort of see where they were going with it....but then, it went downhill </3 It has potential to become one of the better animes, but it went a different path somewhere in the beginning. I felt like it a lot of stuff were not explained and a lot of stuff should've been included but were not there. The brotherxsister or cousinxcousin thing was just too weird for me at the end. I stopped watching ever since that...

dub is nasty, ever since the preview was made public months ago.
just look up blue exorcist dub for Rin's voice - Kirito.
Asuna just sounds like a bloated emotionless brick wall.

knowing americans and their over-dramatic treading of tv,
the second half will probably be heavily cut to remove tentacles and the cousinxcousin content.

side note;
The anime for sure has finished up cleanly.
the next arc is a bit more horrific themed.
GGO = gaming masked murders. [only worth 13 episodes]
OVA's for side stories maybe [like the new Lizbeth-Silica-Leafa story].

Yeah, seems like all the girls, besides Asuna, that Kirito meets only wanted his well, you know. I mean sure he's got some nice hair, but comeon. I kind of like how it took Asuna some time to really like Kirito.
if sword art online does get another season i hope it will be more like the first half. that second half was ridiculous it was every single anime stereotype a helpless girlfriend and a girl in love with her oneechan. im sorry but with asuna being so bamf in the first half it was kinda like a let down the ended using that tentacle scene and those other sketchy raunchy scenes. the anime community needs a strong female!
@Kurau92 If they do make a Second Season (The 2nd part was just an arc in Season One) it'll be off the virtual eggs from the ending of Season One.

Hint: It gets worse.

So making this thread got me interested what Kirito looks like in GGO. Is it me is does he somewhat resembles a girl? Is he a girl in GGO? When I search for Kirito GGO in google with no safety, well let just say things kind of got weird. Like he was trying to be a trap.

Here's a couple to give you an idea. No worries, no nudity.
I'm almost certain SAO is getting another season simply because of how popular it was, being on toonami means nothing since it'd first have to sell well in Japan to come over.

Also SOA? It's not that hard to get right.

Also to my knowledge it was a series of light novels and not a manga.
no time soon due to the fact there isnt enough content since the light novel has had 3 arc since the anime ended one which is still on going

SAO is just beautiful if you have a history of playing MMOs. But I think you'd be better off download the entire thing and marathon it.

They made a manga, and it was/is terrible. Light Novels>Anime>Manga. Yeah, i think that the new season is on the GGO Arc.

Well, Toonami generally has Anime for the casual viewers so I think the addition of SAO will be a big plus. You'll pick up lots of traffic.

I'll stick to my Watamote for now.

I think it's going to be a great addition to Toonami, I haven't been watching Toonami ever since they shut down back then, but it feels like with all these new shows coming, it will make me come back. I've already seen SAO, and the first season was pretty cool, Ill make sure to check out the dubbed version too now
