Illustrator/concept artist or 3D modeling for videogames.
a boxer or a cop
A doctor and if i don't become one i always thought video game programming was fun so i guess its a backup job.
owner of a powerlifting focused gym. too bad commercial/ crossfit gyms make them die out pretty fast
Night guard. Which is basically just have money and never do anything, from what I know.
I want to be an independent game developer, but it's a real struggle to balance passion and money. Not to mention all the BS that's going on right now (GamerGate, anti-preordering, oversaturation on distribution platforms). You really can't make money as an indie developer unless you're either lucky or you're intentionally trying to make money, in which case you're sacrificing the passion. It's one or the other, whether you're in a small startup team or a giant business making the next Call of Duty.
Well I would wanna be a guitarist for a band but I doubt that'll happen.
Realistically I want to be a teacher, not really a "dream", just something I wanna do. I'm not sure what to do about it in college though.
How was the fire-fighting job and how did you go about gettin' into it? I'm really interested, too, and am also torn about the military. The Navy will probably always be in the back of my mind 'til my late 20's.
I got my EMT license and got a job in a heavy volume 911 city. Worked for over a year as one. I also have a clean driving record/background. I looked up fire departments that where on call or volunteer. Then I would just walk in and ask about taking to the chief. I would ask if they was hiring etc etc. The third fire department happened to be hiring 3 guys in a couple weeks and would be starting their training. We talked for a while and he offered me the job as long as I moved into the town. I was willing to volunteer but luckily was picked up by an on call department which pays you for training and any calls you go on. They don't pay you if decide to just chill at the department. Anyways it was basically just luck. Every state has different regulations about fire fighters being hired. I would check with your state and local departments to see what they say. Or you can just google your state.
I am gonna be biased about the navy because I am in the army. But if you wanna join just join. It would make getting a job as a full time fire fighter that much easier. You get veterans preference for state and federal jobs. Just make sure to pick a good job in the Navy and itle be smooth sailing. lol
My dream job would be a master electrician for a huge opera house while still having time to be a lighting designer on the side.
I'm currently the lighting designer for an original production right now and we open in two weeks. <3
LIVING THE DREAM. EXCEPT THIS PRODUCTION IS AWFUL AND I WANT TO MURDER THE SET DESIGNER.
Her ground plan isn't to scale with the ground plan I have of the theatre that I make my light plots on.
She added new set pieces that were never discussed with me and weren't on her ground plan or set model.
She has a roof in our set but I was never given ground plans for the roof so I couldn't plan my lights around the roof until I saw it.
What she told me the roof was going to look like and the look of the roof on her model of the set are COMPLETELY different than what the roof actually looks like.
The directors keep changing their blocking for scenes and keep on miscommunicating with me about what the want with their lights.
Because of the roof I cannot get one single consistent angle of light and I'm getting a bunch of shadows I really don't want. >.<
Maybe I should just quit this endeavor while I'm ahead...
i would love to be in one of those kdrama. but heck, i cant act and i have stage fright. Sad isnt it? i agree!
@evyxx Yo that sounds pretty sick, being a baker or going to pastry school.
@Killeem Dream job doesn't always mean knowing what you want though, since sometimes they aren't realistic in my opinion, hence the term dream.
I agree with you though, it usually doesn't feel pleasant when it feels like everyone else knows what they're going toward and you don't.
I guess the dream job is more something you want to do though, you don't have any that comes to mind?
@Killeem Just wondering, why do you think not knowing anymore is sad?
I think having a casual job like being a cook for a gaming house could be fun, especially if it's a cool team like TSM lol. What about you OP?
Dream job: game programmer for blizzard or rock star games. Was working toward it.
I want a comfy house, a pretty loyal amazing wife, a dog, to live in a place where the leaves changes color and fall, the average temp is 68 to 77 in the summer and 5 to -13 in the winter.

I had my dream job. Was a EMT and an on call Fire Fighter. Was the most amazing work I have ever done. I loved responding to 911 emergencies. I left it all behind to join the army though. Idk if I am gonna go back when I am out though. Might decide to chase money. Maybe a Nurse Practitioner? Or working for the federal government? Meh idk still got 3 1/2 years left to decide.
i dnt even kno anymo... sad
probably be in the LCS. couldnt even get scouted for crappy challenger teams so that dream is long gone.
