Like on one hand it's supposed to look confident and sexy, and on the other you look desperate as hell

Just do it, guys are so much more laidback then girls are with relationships.
I think it's alright : It relieves the pressure from the guy, and is quite surprising! There is a dance called MORP, (prom backwards) where the girl asks the guy (duh). The amount of desperation noticed when you ask him out, depends on [b]how[/b] you ask the guy out. As long as you present yourself in a confident manner, you're gonna' be fine! Plus, girls (for the most part) are much more creative than guys.

I read/watched something before that said if a girl asked a guy out, there is a 91% chance he will accept. If a guy asks a girl out, he only has a 63% chance she will accept.
There are guys who are really shy, girls asking out boys are not weird at all.

Asking out is okay, proposing is kinda weird.
Be casual, make sure it is in a place where you're ALONE, and if he says no, take it easy. Trust me, saying no to a girl who asks you out is like telling someone in a burning building to calm down.
If he says no, which, I really hope he doesn't, just kind of laugh off as he tries to explain his "no". it'll make things almost 100x easier.
