Probably thanks to the 90s kids who wore Real D lens-less glasses around 2009-2010 .. making them look "nerdy."
Probably makes them feel good too since they all look like crap when you look at their farm pictures (cough).

why has clothing and style gone from an expression of your personal tastes to just wearing whats high status. its like when people pay 1000 dollars for the LV name and like 300 dollars for the canvas....
