I'm a Grade 1/2 teacher (been playing MS since 2006) and I bring my love of video games into my classroom. Currently, I'm covering time with my students . Here's something I put together on my SMART Board to make things a bit more interesting for my students for when we talk about our daily schedule. They quite liked it. ^_^ What do you Maplers think? (Sorry for the mediocre quality - had to turn off the lights to get a decent shot!)

Damn I'm jealous, I wish my elementary had that schedule lol. Oh well that was several years ago.

OT: Good idea! I just hope they don't learn what game that comes from until they're at least in middle school

I think that's really awesome

The use of cartoons, in general, makes the process of teaching a concept much easier and interesting for the students. I do sigh a bit when I look at when school starts though. I have to get up as early as 6:30 to get to university

But it's worth it when you're studying what you're interested in

It's cool, and definitely a lot more visually appealing and noticeable to a 1st or 2nd grader. Though I'm wondering is the morning routine supposed to be before the school starts, or did you typo and it meant to say 9:40?

@Aeronomx
well that's because u have the type that rolls on the ground
everytime some1 trips on it u have to calibrate it
theres another type that hangs on the white board

It's so cute!
@Aeronomx: I don't know if it's because my only current teacher with a SMART board is my 6th period Geometry teacher, but it never needs to be calibrated.

Why is the morning routine(8:40 am) second after School starts at (9 am), shouldn't it be the other way around?
I hate those SMART boards, they always need to be calibrated for some reason! >.<

Are you teaching them how to tell time from a clock?
Or just teaching them schedules?
